How did he fit a brushless in there? My speed passion 17.5 seems too long to fit in the cutout? that looks like a novak motor.

edit: Now I see what he did to the motor mount to make it fit.

i have put a novak brushless in my old M2 without any mods, but i see where he spaced the motor plate out to better balance it.

That's Juan Aveytia's 414. The bulkheads are from an older 414 (prior to M2). The spool is from an Evo4. He used a longer TA04 top shaft to mount the spur to get it to mate with the pinion gear. Also, Evo4 sway bar mount bolt right on. Incredibly, that ancient car is as fast as all the "modern" cars out there.

I was hoping I could put a trinity duo BL motor w/o any mods on my M2.

are the 414M bulkheads any different other than color? i have a couple of M2s, one with full lightweight, plus a never before run M sitting here collecting dust, lol... thinking of blowing the dust off and using one in Vintage T/A, how fitting, right?

i have never thought of an Evo spool... i happen to have one. ill try it soon.. thanks!

I have never run brushless before and I took sabbatical for 2 years and now I'm just trying to get back, Even though brushless was already around before it was not as affordable, and being out for two years means alot have change. Myquestion is would the 540 motor be the same size as a Bl mmotor and specifically duo BL by trinity? and would it fit my M2?

I have this TRF 414M2 Chassis and would like to update it a little.
What does it take to run the newer style 36t dif pulleys with the 16t pulleys on the the spur shaft?
Do I have to get my chassis milled and what belts would I use?
Thx

yea, to run the larger diff oulles there will be milling of some sort involved. i looked at this the other night messing with one of mine, and the pulley lip would be slightly lower than the bulkhead, wouldnt take much.

i havent researched the belt situation yet, tho.
