I got a spare belt in my hand...part # 6244004. It does says TRF414M right on the belt but I belive they're the same as the TA04 ones...

Good to know that the front belts are the same now

Do you guys do any belt tricks to the car (ie: WD40 soaking....cutting teeth, drivetrain feels free already) & how many millimeters worth the spacers are you running under the belt tensioner.

Whats the spring/shock oil combo to use on carpet? I'm gonna try to run Shimizu 25's for a tire

I haven't done any tricks on my new front low friction belt yet. I'm not using a belt tensioner either. Although I'am interested in the rear white belt for the 415.

Smile GEARING FOR 19T & 27T MOTORS

What would be the appropriate size for the pinion gear on a 19T & 27T motor if using the 120T (0.4) spurgear on a medium size track? Any reply/help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thumbs up

Hi Guys

Thought i would keep this thread alive.

Im going to be racing indoors on carpet this winter for the first time ever and not wanting to break anything on my as yet unbuilt EVO IV i thought i would try my TRF 414m2 i brought second hand but never run.

Can someone say for sure what low friction belts fit the car i.e. TAO4 fronts/rears or TRF415 front/rears or a mix of both and also are the TAO4 light weight diff outdrives ( front & rear diffs ) the same as one the 414m2 as they are worn on my car.

Going to be running on carpet with preglued CS22 tyres on dish wheels the control wheel/tyre/insert combination so any advice on setups for running stock ( 27t ) motors with ball diffs all round would be a great help.

Lets keep this thread alive.

Cheers guys

for the belts, the rear from the 415 is the same length. You can also use the belts from the TA04 (front and rear). As a matter of fact, most drivetrain and suspension parts are common between the TRF 414 and the TA04 (if not common, compatible).

only one of the belts from the TA04 fit... i forget which one. i think the front is the same, but the rear isnt. i dunno, tho... been a while since i looked at 'em.

the last time i ran my 414's it was pretty much the box setup, maybe a stiffer spring if you are on carpet.

Ah i happen to have a white rear 415 belt from when i sold my car but kept the spare front and rear white belts so that is easy sorted. Just need a front one now.

What about the light weight diff outdrives ? are they the same as the TOA4 from and rear ?

Going to add the suspension blocks from my spare EVO III kit so i will have a few more tunning options with the rear toe.

This is going to be a fun winter project for me to do as i have not raced for five or so months.
