yep lets see if we can all get along together.
could we possibly change this thread to trf 404,414 etc ,415?
or just use the other thread for the 415?
just thinking of space.

415 is another car, as we can see, so I suggest any comment on the 415 should now be in the 415 thread.

Surikarn got the new TRF415 and tested it yesterday (Tuesday).
He may use it to race at coming Reedy race in Bangkok.
Am I right, "slowhand".

And I think the same
"TRF415 is a complete different project. not a member of 414family"....
'Coz Tamiya hired a new guy to design the 415.....Am I right again, "slowhand".

Are you still involved with the World Champ? What's his take on the car?

The advice you gave in the early days of this thread still helps me today. Thanx.
The following is taken from www.tq-racing.com :
Many of the parts are the same parts used on TB Evo3 (and some also on TA-04, TRF414). These include: Front stabilizer, steering blocks, C Hubs, steering racks, aluminum suspension mounts (except the front rear mount where the belt pass through underneath), 42mm drive shafts, shock absorbers, lower arms. The rear aluminum uprights were the same ones used on Surikarn's TB Evo3 last JMRCA in September. The rear stabilizer is similar to that of the 414M, but wider in the middle part. The most notable new parts other than the chasis and upper deck were the full aluminum bulk heads, front oneway, pulleys, rear diff joints, shock towers, bumper and the low profile servo mount.
Front and Rear pulleys were 35T, while the center ones were 16T.
The lower chasis was 3mm thick and the upper deck is 2mm.

I am not sure with what you mean by involved with the Champ. I have no special things related to the Champ. The Champ is always friendly to everyone. We just happen to live in the same city and enjoy RC life.
I am not sure what's the Champ thinks about the car. I think this question should be directed to him directly. However, the Champ never complained anything about any of his cars, including this proto.

Feel free to drop me an email or two in case you need to clarify or ask anything. Due to workload, I do not normally visit this forum often.
cheers...

Am I right, "slowhand".

I think Karn got it last Tuesday and tested it for several packs today Wednesday. All looked well and smooth.
He will use it at the Reedy Asia, that's for sure.

I am not sure who designed the new machine, but as far as I know Tamiya Inc. still have the same TRF design & development team members i.e. no additionals.
Please tell us, otherwise

I think the champ knows about most forums, but probably has too many other activities that prevent him from directly entertaining us in this forum.

Barry Baker and Josh Cyrul seem to find a little time to enlighten us on this forum. Lets start a petition: get Surikarn on RcTech...lol
