There are many TRF cars out there.

How you can be so narrow minded to say you are right and everyone else is wrong is beyond me....

Also look out for the latest TRF car, The Baja King !! yes really, they had a mock up at Shizouka....

Guys, is there an ignore filter on here?

When I go to Japan next month, I can ask a buddy of mine what's up and will respect Tamiya's security if he wishes to decline comment.

I don't know who this "reliable source" that somebody mentioned here but I'll be hearing it straight from the horse's mouth...err I mean from one of the three amigos' mouth...errr from my friend

Can't you just see the difference between a car that has been made by the Tamiya Racing Factory for TRF drivers, and a commercial car that have been pushed to it's best and thus deserves the name TRF (it's nothing else than a commercial name in that case, you know marketing...) ?

Cars made for TRF drivers (thus, TRF cars) are not the same than a commercial car even pushed to it's best (like the TA04 TRF is), that is all that I say.

The cars that have been made by TRF have all the same code name as I already explained, which actually only the TRF 414M have.

You will never see Surikarn (as racenut123 named him) at the worlds exhibit his brand new TA-04 TRF or Baja King TRF, will you ?

And please, don't tell I'm narrow minded, 'cuz actually the ones who are not reading what I'm saying are you guys.

By the way, if you don't believe what I say about TRF 415, ask R10, ooooh maybe it's not a reliable source...

Yeaaah you're right... Anyway, I'm quite sure it will come true, if they keep on their policy, Tamiya will make a brand new car at the beginning of the year (that's what they did the past years, didn't they ?).

And actually, even if it's not this year, they will have to release a new car one day....

In acutal face the 414 blue that speedtechrc sells is the mass market production of the 414 series cars not the TA04TRF. Rick

Rick you're the narrow minded now : who said the TA04 TRF was a mass production series ? I did not.

But how many TA04's of any version have been produced and how many TRF 414 of any version ? And don't look only at the US market, Tamiya makes 60% of it's sales in Japan.

Now please stop that.

To correct you the 414 and the TA04 are the son's of the 404x. Tamiya produced the TA04 at exactly the same time as it produced the TA04, The parts are vastly different, you cannot fit a TA04 chassis on a 414 (you can fit a T1R chassis on a EVO2) The only interchangable parts are the diffs, the suspension components, the shocks and the center pullys. The tool that we were talking about have the TRF-414M logo on it and they only come with the memorial kit. It's gunmetal colored and only three small tools (double ended hex drive, one nut driver, and one turnbuckle wrench).

I do think that the new TRF tool set are better in quality though.

But for a TRF nut.... I need to have everything with TRF 414M logo on it...

don't you agree FUX_WRX?

Tamiya did have many TRF serious cars without the names TRF xxx.... TA03S-TRF, TA03R-TRF, F103LM-TRF. Basically any car with high spec parts included that has been raced by a TRF team of drivers and has been proven race-worthy are given the name TRF (Tamiya Racing Factory). Or like recetnly, they started given out TRF names to very hop-uped chassis (TA04TRF).

I never did know Tamiya name Dyna storm a TRF car or anything. I guess any car that Tamiya Racing Factory touched or developed has been given TRF names.

TA03 was a mass production car. David Jun drove it and won some races and later they had TA03 David Jun edition. To say that mass-production car was never used by TRF drivers is a mistake I think. I don't think there was ever a car that was developed for specific TRF driver. More like the driver brainstomer and develop the cars together and if it's race-worthy it's produced for the genrel public. You might said that the car that TRF driver have are very different than the production version. However, that's because Each driver made their own modifications to the car. For example, you will find Most Factory driver's ride quite unique, simply cuz they did the modification to suite their own driving style.

Thank you Rick, but I know exactly what are the interchangeable parts, as I have converted my TA 04 Pro into a 414 something like 3 years ago (well a little bit less than 3).

And I perfectly know the history of the 404X, but when I said the TA04 was the "son" of the 414, it was to simplify things. 414 is really close to 404X (although differencies there are, they're of course much less than with the TA04).

You just repeated what I did say earlier about the T1, so why don't you stop ?

TRF_Powered : my meaning was not to say that the cars named TRF were bad. But there is a difference to make between the commercial cars that have evolved to a TRF version and a car made BY TRF and have that name from the begining.

And yes, the Dyna Storm was a TRF car from the begining, it was called TRF 211X and then evolved to a commercial version. The 211X was all carbon (chassis + upper deck, shock towers), whereas the Dyna Storm had a plastic tub chassis with a glass fiber upper deck and shock towers. The cars were very similar though. Same for the Top Force, but I don't remember its TRF number.

In actual fact the TA04 is the plastic version of the TA04 PRO, and the TA04 TRF is the top of the line version of the TA04. The TA04 is actually made by tamiya and the 414 is made by TRF which is a totally seperate part of Tamiya or did you not know this? O BWT The evo 3 shares a lot of bits with a 414 so this must be the 414's sister .

I know i am right with all of this. Rick
