Hope you'll like your 414, I saw it it's damn beautiful !!!

Compared to shaft cars, the drive train is smooth (like any belt car), and the car has a lot of steering. It's well left/right balanced (but if you want an even better balance, you can add 2 mm spacers between the rear bulkhead and the motor mount) and under weighted around 60g (well for mine at least).

So if you want even a better balance and need to add weight to be legal, as most of the weight of the car is already on the rear, I suggest putting the weight on the front (I usually put it between the steering posts or even between the bulkheads, opposite to the one way / diff).

Nice chassis, but this is what I don't like :

- the weight is not tat well balanced now : the motor should be forward and less centered now that the battery is in-line,

- room for the servo so tight that you must use a micro servo, and the turnbuckle is very small (I'd have better rotate it 90),

Nice ride though, but I wonder why you sell it ?

That looks like a standard size servo, the turnbuckles look like their normal size also.To me it looks like it has the same room as most touring cars do for your radio gear..not very much..

To be honest with you the balance of the car was better with this layout. Apart from that it provided more room for electronics.

There is plenty of room for the servo can either rotate or use it the way my servo is positioned. And all i did was chop off the ears which was not much of an issue because i use to drive xpress cars. The turnbucles is also normal size its from Tech Racing.

Im also planning to sell it because im trying to revert to the SSG chassis. Although im unsure of it as of now. Cause i got the setup right already.

I had the SSG chassis. The only thing that I did not like about it is that when it get scrathes on the bottom, it's all black. Most of the guys here that run 414 and YOK SD prefer the black.

Jimmy J told me that all the SSG stuff made for TAMIYA is made here in San Diego and the lighten bulkheads are made here in San Jose which is about 15-minutes from my home, haha. They make it here and send it to Japan for packaging and then send it back to the US. I think that makes the price go up a bit. But at the TAMIYA NAtionals it's very cheap. The light front bulkhead was selling for $20USD, the rear light bulkhead was selling for $25USD, and the light motor mount is $10. Pretty cheap.

Have anyone try any other brands of brushless? Some guys race the Novak ones here in mod class. My 10T-double is still way faster then the brushless motors.
