Thanks for that info.I've studied the car.And have learned the reason why they call it a torge rod.

In reference to slop.Where you saying it's good to have slop or not?I am about to tear back into car to get rid of the 1.5 mm slop I have in car.

About the slops,

For sure they are not a good thing. Personally, I will get rid of them as much as I could. When everything installed, at least, you must be able to feel the slop a (very) little bit to make sure nothing is binding on the A arms. But the way the world champ did, is more than I tought.

I have shimmed the arms just a bit to make it a bit tighter, but still be loose enough so that the arms fall under there own weight.

BTW,I have noticed that you could lower the cars roll center by simply placing a shim or two under the hindge pin mounts(?).Has anyone in here tried this? And what adverse afects did it have?(good or bad).

And does anyone have a good set up to start with for said track in above track conditions?

Default roll centers

Littledog there,s lots of information on roll center set-up further back this thread personlly i run with only a small amount of shimming(carpet+foam tyres though) there is susposed to be advantages in running a low R/C when running on asphalt(this is why the W/C anti roll bar was released as the original would no longer fit because of the wishbones being moved so much)

Or they could be waiting on the parts that they broke during the race to come in the hobby shop.Or they could be getting ready for there next breeze through the park.

theres a ball diff set (complete set) that you can install. everything comes in that bag - diff pulley, outdrives, balls, etc. - its a direct replacement for the 414m's front ball diff. sorry, i lost my parts bag label for that so i dont know the part no. anyone here know the part no?

53436 for complete ball diff set. 53480 if you want to change the steel outdrives to light weight delrin. 53474 if you want to change over the oneway pulley on the center shaft to a locked pulley. Hope this helps. SpeedtechRC has these parts as well as Tower (most of them).
