Merciless:

Here's a pic of the Square aluminium front knuckles (yeah, they're the same as the TA04 ones). Part number is TAP-35S/B (Silver/Black). ModelOne is an online store in Singapore. Last I checked, they had the silver one in stock. Rainbow 10 has it as well. I believe there is are at least several people who have been using the Square knuckles, with good effect.

I have one of these chassis kits. It's a Kia chassis conversion.I just got the car with this conversion on it .But unfortunaly I will be striping the car of the conversion to get ready for a TCS in my local soon. But have ordered another kit to just run the chassis caonversion.I've heard great things bout it for tight tracks with med. traction.

100 % it will fit the m2, 04 and m2 and now evo3 uses the same knuckle arms. Is the Eagle Model comes from Integy Eagle Racing?

Merciless, you will be better off using the new optional "hard" front knuckle. They are using the same material as A arms that comes with TRF414M. They are already being sold in Asia.

If you still insist of using alumn. knuckle, cross would be your best choice as it has silver or, better yet, black color. You have to remember one thing, alum will not be able to hold ball bearing perfectly unless they are factory fitted/glued like the one on TRF bulkheads.

Not really didn,t know what conversion cost new anyway. And if you can,t use it to race with just thought money towards something you could use might be better than looking at a chassis you can,t

hum!U are rite but I think I will hang on to the kia chassis untill I can get a better idea about wha I got and weather the car is keepable.I may start liking it.It is a very easy car to work on.easer than the x-ray I have. But i am not downing either car.

Any way back to your question.I think I'll just wait until after the TCS.

You might be better off sticking with the X-Ray it,s a great car.I was running an evo 2 with C-Hub convereion before the 414m2worlds and used to finish about half a lap up on the whole field.......this got boring so i sold said X-Ray and bought 414 now i struggle to keep up!!!
i,m sure it,s to do with driver/car balance and set-up up,it was like my X-Ray and i were one and the 414 just fights me.
For the moment i,m sticking with it as i,m sure the car is good i just got to get it set right, but over here in the UK we race really tight technical tracks and i do wonder if the 414 has the sheer steering lock to be the best on this style of track.
Anyway just don,t sell that X-RAY to fast

Logically,

Most European track are big, X-ray should be designed based on that. On the other hand, since most Asian track are small with sharp corners, 414M should be better for technicall track.

Those are all not true, just like saying 414M is the best Touring Car as it won the worlds. Furthermore, as reported/issued on some sites that TB EVO3 is a better car than 414M as now all Tamiya Team driver using it. Why didn't they use shaft drive for the wolrds? Just marketing issues for more sales? If not, why did they even care for making a better SSG chassis with narower width for the upcoming 414 series (they already won the worlds)?

Everycar is the same, material is different, and the most important: NONE is perfect. You just have to learn and tuned it to your driving style. TC3 looks good on Bakers hand, HPI looks fast on Hara's hand, etc.

Fast is just a mater of motor and gearing. Driving fast is a matter of skill

This is just my point of view, sure you are all have something differrent to share.

I,m not sure you understood all i wrote !!

you seem to have just re wrote alot i said in your own words(or at least what i mean,t)

i am sure there is nothing wrong with the 414 as i said

i,m also adament i found it easier to go fast with the old EVO but that,s not to say i,ll never get the 414 to go better just i found it easier with the X-RAY

A fast car is the car that suits your driving style, maybe not the one that someone else won the race with!!
