I don't think the SSG version of 414 is going to the be the TA04 TRF. There is SSG chassis specifically for the 414M, it's two different cars. It sure looks hella nice though!!

Hi Guys,

There will be a TA04TRF kit using the SSG material AND Tamiya will also release SSG Material chassis for the 414 as well. Along with the chassis, new light weight bulkheads and motor mount will be released as well.

Merciless: I believe they are available from Square (check Rainbow 10, they have that in black and silver hehe...) and Integy (look for Tamiya parts... purple ). Some are also being sold on e-Bay (unknown brand and they're purple)

Can I ask why you're looking at the Alu. knuckles? I was thinking about getting them cos they don't use the flanged kingpin things that tend to fall off on the bumpy tracky where I run mine.

by the way, I'd still like to have a look at the WCR manual... could you e-mail it to me, pls? (PM me if you're ok with sending it over!)

Thanks!

Well I ran the 414M2 on carpet with Foams. Seemed to handle good enough to qualify 2nd for the Amain. Went to last place after the infamous first turn pileup. But ended up 3rd after the race was over. After all this racing... I can say so far the TC3 has more steering than my 414. I had to defend my line on a couple occassions where my friends TC3 could dive under me on exit of the turn. The push might have been because of the dual oneway setup I was using. But I'm sure I can somehow get the car to rotate more.

One option I found was to replace the "Worlds" sway bar kit with the stock kit front swaybar. This should allow the tires to turn full lock to lock. Another option might be to shorten the wheelbase. I dunno. I'll have to do more research. I'm just hopping the new tires I'm gonna run will allow more lock to lock steering. Anyways, car was great. Just need more steering on exit. We'll see what happens at Snowbirds.......

Well back to asphalt tomorrow. Gotta change the setup again..... L8Rz
