Joehwee I believe your 414m uses the same front upright as my 04. According to this PDF:

http://www.tamiya.nl/racingteam/setu...et_up_tips.pdf

Swapping them does increase the steering response. Haven't tried it - at yuan ching I have sufficient steering.

See ya!

I've always wanted to know what the difference was. Can anyone else confirm this?

Question: What is the "Right" mentioned in the setup sheet?

Is it the "right" upright if we are in the driver's position? Or the right of the car as seen from the bumper?

Thanks.

Pyramid: Do you have the part's no for the additional 0.5-1.0mm spacer for the 414m? Can the TA04 front & rear belt be used for the 414m?

Thanks.

TA04 rear belt is not the same with TRF414M, they are shorter.

0.5mm and other additional spacers are not from Tamiya. I bought the one from TOBE CRAFT (forgot the #). I think Nikki in Hong Kong has them.

C2, according to the manual, is on the drivers site. I have not try to swap them (because the nearest asphalt track is 1 hour by plane), but I notice the different if I were to swap them.

Addition: Drivers site means Sterring Servos Site.

I'll try to make my digital camera working again and put the car online. I hope all TRF owners can do the same to exchange tips and tricks.

This is Surikarn C. TRF414M at Indonesia Yokomo Cup 2001.

Surikarn was the Hongkong International Race champion, Atsushi Hara was 3rd, in case you dont know.

Pyramid: Do you have the part's no. for 414m front & rear belt? How durable is the 414m rear belt actually? Hopefully it is not like the Yokomo SP rear belt which last for about 10 packs of battery?!

If you drive the Yoks before and now is leaving them (just like I did), you gonna love this one.

But Mr. Daniz24 may not be agree with me

I don't know exactly about how long it gonna last since I race them twice using 9-11T, sure more than 10 battery use, it still looks pretty strong. Other Indonesian Racer has using it about 1 year (12 races) and just finally replace them.

I'd say about 5 races or equal to around 60 packs.

Front belt: #53463 (OP)463 TA04Low Friction Belt (front)
Rear belt: # 6244004 Rear Drive Belt (Short)

I assumed that you're using the low-friction rear belt. Yes, it's durability are *&*@(#$*. hehe.....

Both XRAY and TRF-414M are great and very potential cars. The only problems are : Very Expensive and parts availability I love my MR-4TCSP (One of the best and the fastest electric touring car these days) But I still considering to try one of those "Luxury" car.......
