What was the problem again? You have too much on-power steering?[/COLOR]
The answer to your question is Yes but since I changed camber it is a hell of a lot better.
What do you think would front toe-in solve my problem? My set-up is:
Front:
Sway bar--no
Damper:--White spring-700oil
Toe out :-0.5
Camber: -1.5
Spacers for front arm: Front:3mm Rear:2mm
Damper position:very left hole
No spacers for front axles ortorque rod

Rear:
Sway bar--no
Damper:--Red spring-300oil
Toe in :+1.5
Camber: -0.5
Spacers for rear arm: Front:3mm Rear:2mm
Damper position:Middle hole
No spacers for rear axles

Thanx
What's the handling problem though? Too sensitive? Too much high-speed steering? etc etc

i just received my 414. started building it already. still debating whether i should run it or not. cuz i'm afraid i wont be able to get stuff like belts, arms, etc if i break something. also my car has a weird serial number on the side of the bulkhead. on X414X's car, i see a 4 digit number. mine is 4 digits, but it says E291. what does the "E" stand for?

Default 414M WCR vs Yokomo MR4TC Special

rccarracer, I see you also have a Yoke mr4 special. How does it compare with the 414 wcr? I have the yoke special too and am thinking of getting the 414m wcr. Is it worth the price? People here in the Philippines all seem to think that the tc3 is the best electric touring car performance wise due to its shaft drive. What do you have to say about that. I would love to get the 414 wcr but am afraid I might regret my decision. We run on a dusty cement track that I would consider to be low to medium bite. Help!!!!!!!

The person who sold me my 414 recommends rainbowten. You could ask them for available parts for the 414.

I plan to race mine.

That is, after fabricating some substitutes for the damper stays, CF bulkheads and the bumper. I have some old PC boards which I can cut up for the damper stays. I still have to find a good substitute fort the front bumper. I don't want to scratch it up too much.

The rest of the parts are available locally. LHS have stock for the rear belt or you can come up with a makeshift tensioner and use the TA04 belts. I assume the front belt is the same as that of the TA04(?).

I still have to practice my driving. For now, I'm racing a TA03...

Default Parts

For parts u might also want to check out speedtechrc and www.speedworldraceway.com . I am pretty sure speedtech carries parts and I am sure that speedworld does carry full line of parts for the 414 series plus the owner ran the car at the reedy and norrca nats which he did quitee well in both. Anyways hopes this helps.

Aurra,

The problem is:
Too sensitive on power steering and the back of the car is sliding a bit.

Jedi...
I believe that both cars are great, and both have weaknesses...
But I have a soft spot for TRF cars....
Thats why I drive my 414M lately, but considering retiring it along with it's brothers, and either running the MR4-TC or getting a Hara edition Pro3....
Got to see Murai's Pro3 (and meet him) at Auto Salon the weekend that just past and loved the look of the car. Never really interested me until I got to see it up close....

See pics of the Auto Salon here....

You can use 414x belts from Tamiya Usa. They also have damper stays and a few other 414 compatible parts. The 414 arms are the same as Ta04 arms. The rear uprights are the TA04 Hard Rear Uprights 53428. The only non-replacable parts are the carbon knuckle arms and the bulkheads. You can also use Ta04 diffs but, Tamiya USA has 414x diffs and 1-ways in stock which are the same as the 414's.

TRF414 owners,

Which do you think is closer to the TRF414 in design/setups, the TA04's or the 414M/M2/WCR ?

I'm leaning towards the 04's since most have their upper links bolted on the damper stays.

what do u think would be closer to a "TRF414".

a) TA-04

b) TRF414M, TRF414MII, TRF414M WCR

i think most would go with option "b".

and for your answer, i would most definitley go with a TRF414 car. it dont really matter which one u get compared to a TA-04. they're all VERY good cars. you'll most likely wanna get a TRF414MII as that will probably be easiest to get ur hands on (and cheapest). the TA-04 comes very "stock" looking. while ANY TRF414 car comes like you bought the "hopped up" version of a 414 car when really it already comes like that. and in terms of design/setup, i like the TRF414 cars much more. peaches.
