My son runs a Schumacher with the new Jacos on it. He runs 13.5 novice class. Top speed down beack straight is radared at a peak of 27 mph with a 28 pinion. He lost his mind and careened into the end wall at the end of the straight at about a 40 degree angle with the tires turned into the corner. He did this twice in about 10 minutes. Sheered off the lower control arm each time. First dont blame him too much I did raise his pinion from a 27 to a 31 (my supplier forgot to ship me a 28, 29, and a 30 Ti pinion like I got billed for so I did not have any, oh I got the 22 to 27 and 31 to 35 but not the others). Anyhow the wheels faired well. After the second hit the front wheel that hit the wall (same one both hits) this time had a very slight wobble to it. Only about 2mm. I think that this says a lot of the rim. I am very satisified.

The only problem I had was I picked up a cut on the one front tire, but I do not believe that is the fault of the tire. I too had to add a little camber into the front of the car. I was previously running 1* negative, and I added a little, but did not measure. I believe I will have to add a little more. Tires were very consistant from run to run, unlike my driving. I actually set my fastest run on the 5th run that I put on the tires. The car was glued to the track all day. With a few set-up changes, I should be able to really pick up the pace. I plan on running these tires until the lap times drop off noticably, or until the cords start showing, whichever came first. I can't wait to try the greens when I can get a hold of a set. If they are anything like the blues, they should also be very good.
Update after racing today:

Ran the same set for practice, and my first two qualifiers today. A total of 9 runs were put on the tires before they finally went away. The one front tire picked up a couple holes in it, sometime during runs about 5-6, but I kept running them. I bent two wheels slightly, and ended up wearing the one front tire through on the last run. When I finally switched to new tires, I only picked up .2s on my fast lap of the day, which was on the 9th run on the tires. I think this speaks for itself in saying,
THESE TIRES ROCK!

Nexusracing.com has some blues left. I'd like to try some, but I just spent way too much money on Jaco's new Nitro Shoes !

Default Jaco Blues on Carpet

Had a chance to run the Jaco Blues with Prism wheels on carpet in my RDX Phi this past weeekend. I have to say they are 200% better than the older greens! They seem to have slightly less traction initially in the run but by the 2nd or 3rd lap they heated up and ran awesome. I was able to TQ and Finish First in 13.5and qualified 2nd and finished 2nd in 10.5. Thanks Again Jack for a GREAT product.

What is the bite like on your track? I was assuming that the blues would be an asphalt tire and the greens would be a carpet tire.

Bite was medium-high to high. The blues were definately faster than the greens on the carpet. Keep in mind this is just my opinion. Try them out for yourself and see. I know over half of the A-main was running Blues.

Guys ran the old blue tires on carpet as well...

If the bite gets super high around here gordie its at a big race with a spec tire. so you might want to stick with the new greens.

My club runs indoors (carpet) and only JTG is allowed. What compound would be recommended (Super Stock 13.5).

Thanks for the info.
