A good rule of thumb would be to run at least 2 gauges bigger wire for the battery as you would use for the motor because the battery carries all of the motor load and the motor wires share the load across the 3 phase wires. The current is pulsating per the phase output of the speedo thus the duration at which the wires carry the current is approximately 1/3rd than that of the battery wires which carry the sum of all 3 phase pulses. Since you are running blinky mode, you will want to deliver as much current as is demanded by the motor as efficiently as possible. Smaller gauge wire will have an effect on "punch".

Found it! I was experimenting today and wednesday and tried changing the motor, no help, changed the plugs to the batt. no help, used a bigger C pack, no help, went to a 12 gauge wire from a 14...... FIXED!! I also turned the timing down about 4 degrees and the turbo down 2 and turned my start rpm up to the next one on the list from what i was already running.

so had my 12th scale out last night with tekin rs and lrpx12 17.5 turn. confused about what rs settings to use for it as i just couldnt get it to work like my tekin 17.5 motor.
im running the 4 dot insert which is recommended by most, but is that in fact the 27.5adv that some people say, or less? i tried running 20boost, 10 turbo ramp 2 but the car just didnt rev well at all. the onjly settings that seemed to work at all was 15ish boost and max turbo. but wouldnt that go over into the next phase?

wish i could just run the motor at zero advance. put my tekin back in for now. was running 48 boost 12 turbo on that and my only complaint was lack of punch coming out of corners. was as fast as anyone in the straight.

if anyone has advice on setting up both motors, would be great. dispite the lower top end, the lrp seemed a lto more responsive where my tekin had smoother power delivery.

I don't run 12th scale but you need to be running ~50 boost always in 17.5!

Default MinimumTurbo Delay

I can't find it now but i recollect a post saying that below a certain point the turbo delay is equivalent to 0. I think the figure was .3. So that if you set your delay below that e.g .2 then it is actually zero.

Can anyone please confirm this and the value?

thanks

Dave

Hello,
I'm in need of two starting points for a SP13.5 v3 in a TC. The weekly track is a short, tight course and the monthly track is medium length, mostly open corners. Both tracks are low to medium grip.

Thanks in advance.
Michael.

Default ROLLOUT

I am looking for a starting point for rollout for 13.5 blinky and timing WGT 36'x70' tight-technical track. I am using a revtech 13.5 I would guess blinky timing @ full+ and for boosted 1-2 notches over the 0 mark would you use 6-8k and the lowest or next to lowest rpm in the esc? Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

To be clear nobody at the IIC had software available to them. I was changing throttle profiles in the background. I also only did this for guys NOT running a spec class of any kind.
