the problem is you gear the cporally higher and it gets hotter.... so the duo 3??? how does this compare to the x12 and the tekin motor?

Thanks

I have the D3 and the Redline. Both are very good motors. I don't notice a lot of power difference. One thing different is that the Redline is a sealed can and doesn't get grubby inside, the D3 has vents which helps keep it cool, but I never had heating issues with the Redline

I'm not sure because in a pan car with 13.5 on 2 cell, I have never geared it up to full speed! I do know that i've geared my Redline in my old TC at 4.8 and didn't over-heat it. That was some major speed. Before the turbo days.
If you're racing TC, I recon it's 80% esc programming and gearing, 20% motor. Get the right combo and any motor will scream it's tits off

Hello M8

I think you can run the ballistic a bit harder, also think its better on the bigger tracks, haven't tried a x12.

Questions??

Hi for all RS PRO users:

I want to ask what gear ratio and ESC setup if i wonder to race with my RS PRO match LRP X12 8.5T Octawind motor, in a large and high traction circuit in 5min race. Could anyone have some recommend to me at least for basic setup, please?

Best regards
