I was told running a rubber tire setup on foam touring car would run my motor temps to hot?

figure what the roll out is for a rubber and then figure what you need for foam

Ok, seeking advice for 17.5 open TC.........

Novak SS w/max timing (don't know specific number)
Boost 48
RPM 1,500 to 10,000
FDR 5.4
Some turbo thrown in

I was first running around a 6.3 FDR when I started this setup (borrowed from a friend) and it ran horrible while coming off under 100* F. I just threw 4 teeth at it to a 5.4 (currently on the car) and it picked up a considerable amount of speed and a temp of around 155 from what I can remember.

What can I do to give this setup more bottom end? It just doesn't have as much rip as I'd like, but it has nice top end (would be great on a large asphalt track).

Although it seemed to run slower at 6.3 with this setup, would it help to shorten the RPM range a bit and work my way back up into the 6's?.... or take motor timing back off and try another tooth or so?

I've never ran an SS with 212, but some of the other fast guys did and seemed to have great luck with it, so I know it has potential. Thanks Tekin

Turn your motor timing down.and change your rpm to 5000 start and 20000 end.

This is for a medium/large carpet track BTW, not asphalt

hey guys, would appreciate a little insight here, have a weird problem with the RS Pro i used in 12th at the weekend. I've requested an RA number and filled in the form, but before I send it off, is there anything else I should try ?

Here's the issue:
v212
10.5 motor
TQ booster on a 1S Lipo

The car seems to have no acceleration until I hit full throttle and the turbo kicks in, almost like there's no boost being applied.

I thought I'd just back Chris up on this, it is not a setup issue, we've already been through that. It is exactly as Chris says, it is behaving like there is no boost at all, but there is turbo. Very strange.

After loading v212 onto speedo, did you recalibrate your speedo by doing the neutral-full throttle-full brake calibration.

He did that, or at least I think so. If he hadn't, turbo wouldn't have kicked in.

Did he try any of the canned timing profiles, or does it only happen on C1 and C2?
Did you try the firmware downgrade/re-upgrade? Does it happen with 203 or 208?

Does it do the same when connected to a 2s lipo?
