One question though, why on both the 208 and 212 versions, can you not set the other parameters independantly on C1 and C2? Being an off-roader, if grip is down, I'd use C1 with the initial throttle turned down and the current limiter etc and C2 have them turned back up for when the grip comes up...problem seems if you turn them down it does it to both C1 and C2....yes yo could do it with the timing too but....otherwise couldn't be happier

I wasn't saying it was done intentionally. Sometimes computers hiccup and stop USB operation, etc. It happens.
I would like everyone to please go to www.teamtekin.com/hotwire.html
and download the latest software update. The original version 212 had a display error while using the C2 throttle profile.
To check to make sure you've got the latest and most current plug in your hotwire and hit the "help" button. It should read Hotwire version 5.7.3

Can you post something on how the new throttle profiles C1 and C2 work?

I had the same problem and ended up with no lights etc on the esc afterwards. Tried downloading again, turning off PC and repeated unconnecting/reconnecting of Hotwire etc. For me, I reloaded 203 (happened to have it on another pc), it then turned on OK. I then retried 212 with the Hotwire in another USB port, it took two attempts and it's now sweet and working as normal.

I have it at home some were so if you send me your email I will try send it to ya when I get home

Throttle Profiles C1 and C2 are timing profiles that you can customize and then save to either C1 or C2. Select C1, set your timing variables to whatever you want, then hit apply. Then select C2, set your timing variables to whatever you want, then hit apply again. Now when you select led #6 on the onboard interface under TP the timing for C1 is selected or C2 if you select led #7.

C1 & C2 are user updateable profiles. you can save different settings (currently different timing/boost settings) on either one. you can then select one to use while on the track without having to plug into your pc. personally, this comes in usefull as the traction at our local track changes from midday (low traction) to late in the afternoon (high traction). For this, i'd set up a wider rpm range (i.e. 5k-15k) in C1 and a narrower range in C2 (5k-12k). during the qualifiers when traction is still low, i run C1. during the finals, when the traction picks up, i switch to C2. to switch between C1, C2, and the other profiles (1-5), press "mode" 5 times to get to the TP light, then press "Set" to get to the TP profile of your choice. hths.
