I run a race series and I have a question regarding the use of 212 over 208 in spec mode. Will there be a distinctive difference in the pattern that the lights flash when in neutral between the two? So when we are in Tech and looking for the flashing lights will we be able to tell that someone is on 212 with out having to hook them up to a PC to get a read out? Also is 212 out for everyone to download right now and is it ROAR approved yet? Thanks in advance we have a race coming up here in two weeks and I want to make sure we can get all the information out to the racers and so that we are educated as to what to look for in Tech.

Guys out here are running anywhere from 3.8- 4.1 depending on track and layout.

I think that 212 will be posted on the Tekin site in the next day or so (20th maybe?). There are a few other adjustments that Randy mentioned that really can change the throttle and brake "feel".

I ran a 4.15 on carpet 17.5 in the spec mode. Full timing on a duo 1 or 2. It was only coming off the track at 130 with a fan.

Why do we need two different sets of blinking lights for the non timing mode?

If I were tech'n, I'd wonder why you only had 1 blinking instead of two.......

But let me rephrase my question.

Is there something different about the 212 stock spec that would require it to have different blinking LEDs?
