The RS wasn't designed to run off just a 1s pack. You MUST use either a booster or rx pack. It will not chime or arm without one. The chime comes from the motor. This requires a certain amount of voltage to perform.

I recall a semi-approved wiring diagram for the Losi 180mah rx pack to trick the speedo into using it's voltage regulator. Can someone repost that?
Being set for 1s just means the voltage cutoff is lower on the speedo. That doesn't mean it will operate without a receiver pack/booster.

Good news! You guys were right. I just needed to add my rx pack and life is good. Plus I did the 2S to rx switch mod and seems to work without a hitch. Just for FWI, I put a volt meter to the esc/servo lead to verify and it puts out a solid 5.72v with a slight load on the servo.

See everyone in Las Vegas!

Rewp was responsible for the post tq party last year, I just backed him up. That's gonna be hard to duplicate. I recall going from the party to the airport broke.

I wonder what this mod would do if you ran a 2s lipo as the main battery as opposed to a the 1s?

What advantage would this give say for 1/10 touring?
I would guess that it would allow more power to be drawn from the main battery as the reciever pack would look after power to the reciver and the servo.

Can anyone give me a good starting point on timing and boost settings for 21.5 Putnam motor/rs pro? We are running 21.5/open speedo in RCGT this year and I dont see any info to do with a 21.5.
The track is brand new Ozite and is 70x45 with 1 65 foot straight

Thanks

I tested the new v208 again last few days. I raced 23 rounds on a 1:8 circuit and speed was consistent from start to finish. I will not change versions anymore and won't reset the esc anymore either. Let's see if it is still consistent when the weather is warmer.

Speedwise it was a rocket with 10.5t and 2s in a pro10 with moderate settings on the rs pro. Speedtrap measured between 89 and 92km/h but we have to let go of the throttle in the speedtrap at the end of the straight so speed is exually higher on the straight. Motor temperature was roughly 45-50 degrees Celcius after 5-6 minutes. At this moment i am very happy again.

Well after one and a half days testing i am almost as fast as i was with 203 (17.300) to my new lap time of 17.700

I have had to change my whole speedo set up to get it back to speed , was my old set up so far out ???

new set up :-

Gearing 6.14
motor timing 0
end revs 18,000
start revs 8,000
timing 50
turbo 15
delay 0.2
TP 5
temp after 6 mins 65 DegreesC

this is differant to what i was running , i have 3kph more than the Gm driver at our track and a little less punch out of the corners thwn him but overall it is ok

Temps are alot cooler then before and the brakes are great

I'm looking for a copy of v203. Does anyone have it. If so, please PM me. I have little experience with the Tekin RS Pro / Hotwire but I have notice a difference. Thanks.

I had a problem with settings holding on 208 this weekend. The speedo would not take my start and end RPM inputs. It took 6 times to get it to hold. Is there a trick for this when that happens? I always make my settings changes and then re-open to make sure they take, but 6 times was a little annoying. Is this just a normal glitch?

Does anyone experience weak to no brakes with brushed motor? I've just gotten the RS Pro new and right away updated the esc to V208 with a new laptop. The brakes are very very weak (as if there was none!) as compared to my LRP Quantum 3, re-flashed the esc twice but its still the same. I was wondering if the brakes would work much better with brushless as compared to brushed? Was trying it on a 48T motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
