Default Voltage cuttoff

I m using mine in 2 cells Lipo TC car 11.5t class, I m just wondering, will there be any performance difference if I set the voltage cutoff to OFF? Or should I always use it on 6.0V minimun set? The default set was to OFF though.

BL motors are vastly different these days. Using the data logging equipment is only half of the equation. Knowing what the motor needs/wants is the other half. Unfortunately this is up to the motor manufacturers to tell us. With so many motors with very different timing settings that don't transfer directly from one motor to the next, ESC setups are wildly different too. Manufacturers would help greatly to give some dyno sheets with their motors even if not completely accurate. At least some generic dyno sheet for each motor class they sell and it would be better than leaving it up to us to guess.
Nosram Spec 10.5, which is an LRP x12 but a different colour.
0 timing on the motor, 40 timing and 10 turbo.

Hardly ever got to use the turbo as grip was down and had tobe carefull of wheelspin!

the default is probably set to OFF because some people might use it with a one cell lipo.

The reason is that if dump you stuff your battery. Even if normally you wouldn't dump, it's easy to overlook this setting and engage in a race where your battery will dump. To me it happened when we extended the race time to 7 minutes instead of the usual 5. Fortunately, I had the voltage cutoff set on.

So there is no performance gain or lost, right? My setting at the moment is using Turbo and Timing firmware 203.

Sounds like you had fun
just one thing though... "0 timing on the motor" isn't 0 timing, which insert were you using ?

There was talk from Tekin not long after v203 was released about a revised software version with a better display, layout.
Any news on that Randy or Prez ???

Default Lipo cutoff

I have version 203, running 1s lipo and Life 6.6 rec pack. I have been advised to set the lipo cutoff at 3.2. Do I check the 1s lipo box in the programming or leave it unchecked?

Hi mikky32
This has probably been asked before, but please can you tell me why, after around 3 to 3.5 mins does my car seem to die down the straight, it seems that the turbo dissapears.
My techs are:

Trinity Duo2 at 1 mark to the right of centre, which I believe to be 16+ degrees?
Geared at 7.9 on a 100ft length straight
Start RPM 4270
End 10000
Brake strength 75
Neutral width Min
Voltage cut off 2
Motor Type BL-FW
Throtel profile 3
Timing boost 45
Turbo Boost 15
Delay 0

The motor came off arnd 53 degrees at 3 mins, but I have heard that if you reduce the throtel EPA on on the handset from 150 to around 120 it cures this problem, is this true? as I have not had a chance to try this. Are there any other things I can do?

Cheers Malc

And would be good if you could save previous setup in a folder, instead of writing yet another tech sheet out.

Cheers Malc
