the number on the end (PS793 i think) is different than the number on my cap (PS7N5). Is it still the right one or should I PM randy to have him send me some?
That's the correct cap. It is recommended to run 2 caps with modified motors though I'm not sure if it's to help with cooling. I don't run mod myself. Randy could tell you better but 2 caps is the way to go.

If we really are pulling the voltage down to below 3.2 volts a Novak booster has no chance!

i think the mah usage goes up based on how much you need the speedo to make speed. with these spec classes we run, we rely on the speedo to make the speed. with the lower wind motors, you don't rely on the speedo as much, so it allows the motor to make the speed. I bet you guys running 10.5 use less then we do in 13.5

there was one of the lads at the maritime national recently who dumped every run in 10.5 with lipo (did it at carpet wars too), so it is possible

The biggest advantage of the RC Dynamics booster though is it supplies a true 6 volts and can keep up with the current requirements when others can't. Extremely high quality components throughout too. That and it has a built in switch which makes for a much neater installation. Downside is the RC Dynamics one costs more.

What servo do you have? I never had any issues with a TQ booster paired with a JR3650 servo and RS ESC on my WGT. Still, the Trinity Li-Fe pack is what I consider the overall best.

Default 10.5 TC Setup

Hi all,

Have just bought an RS Pro and I'm looking for a starting point for gearing and esc setup for rubber TC on asphalt with duo 1 10.5. Track is technical but has two 130' straights.

I'm guessing schreff's 13.5 snowbirds setup will be pretty close, just wondering what changes if any should be made for the lower wind motor

thanks
Craig

no problem with getting an RS over and RS Pro unless you plan on running modified motors, for 13.5 the RS will be just fine

My full electrics list:

JR Z3650 servo
Tekin RS with 200 or 203 (of course!)
KO 408S Rx
AMB PT

This combination did not work with the TQ for me, perfect with the RC Dynamics. I didn't try swapping too many parts for others as I had a solution that worked.

I think something else is up with that SP driver's car, other than the speedo. In the 3rd leg of the A main final, that green and white car attacked me and I noticed his car was like a rocket on the straightaway. He could gain about 20 feet on me on the straight away alone. My car was definitely not slow. There is no way his car could be so fast even with a Tekin. During the practice runs, I saw his car as fast as some of the mod cars, and when his buddies temped his motors, I went to took a look also, and it was only 75 degree C. Battery may be?

Hi,

Firstly apologies if this has been covered before !

I am new to Tekin and have just purchased an RS Pro. Overall I can't complain it certainly has the top end and the grunt - Just one small dilemma:-

Just wondered if anyone has experienced a delay on starting (Only really noticable in the Finals). A little disappointing when you hear the buzzer and hit the throttle only to be left standing as others fly by. This is probably only a fraction of a second or so but makes all the difference.

My settings for 13.5 on Carpet are :

Vegas 2.03
Boost 50
No Turbo (Track with 25m Straight so not needed - When I have tried turbo it comes in too late and I am left with virtually no brakes!)
Throttle Profile 4
Start RPM 2800
Finish RPM 9600

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Thanks
