If any one is having trouble changing their .txt file to .zip drop me a line at [email protected]. I have successfully sent the .zip file several times.

More power to the people!

I have been trying to contact tekin via email for the last two days for an RA. I need to send my system in and need it serviced fast. Thats the main reason I went with tekin was the fact they received great reviews in the customer service area. Is there a wait list just to get an ra number?

Did you try calling them? That works instantly.

Randy,

Thanks for sending me the 200 so quickly!

I need a bit of advice. I've been running a 10.5 Redline on 198 geared at 4.8, timing boost 30, motor at 0 timing.

With 200, if I start with gearing at 5.8, timing boost 20, Turbo boost on max and motor at 0 and turbo delay at 1 second, is this a fairly conservative starting point?

Thanks

How do you have 0 timing on your motor? Did you reset the factory setting from 12 to 0? I am just curious.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question. I will be driving my car tonight with the new firmware update and I wanna make sure I start setting things up carefully with the Hotwire software so as to not burn out my motor.

Are you running tekin motors? If so you should see some ticks on the sticker (oh wait...yours fell off didn't it...) next to the solder posts with 0 and 12 marked. To make sure you have 0 timing, loosen the 3 screws on the plastic endbell and spin it clockwise as far as possible.

OK, take your gearing and leave it alone. Leave the motor timing, simply reduce your timing boost to 20, add full turbo and make sure the delay is set to where it comes on just as you're getting onto the straight away.

Have all the requests for 200 been e-mailed out? I ask because sometimes mail from my work address sometimes gets trapped in spam filters because of my last name. So I was wondering if Tekin even recieved my request.

Not all email systems are created equal. Sometimes emails sent from online systems are captured as spam. I just recently had to send an RS in for replacement and so far the email response has been great. I did call for the RA number thou and talked to someone on my first call.

I think there main support person will be out of town Wed so i would call today to get the RA number.

Randy, you need to find a place to put up some of these basic FAQ and setup tips on the Tekin website or the facebook page. There is so much info here, but the search function on this site isn't very forgiving.

Per the general consensus, I'll be trying 0* on the motor, 20 boost with 5.0 FDR gearing on my 17.5 in a day or two. My hotwire finally arrived yesterday. From there I can play with the timing until I find the sweet spot for mechanical and controller timing before I add turbo into the mix.
