Randy, for future reference, please do not advise of an impending update. All the whining is doing my head in!
For the record, I KILLED a KO BMC a few weeks back in a controlled 13.5 class, and that was with version 198. Hmmmm, maybe I set my car up well, or drove well, nahhhhh, it's all about the esc software I guess

I don't want 200 to beat other people on the track. Too many variables to why someone is faster on the strait. I just wanna be like the other guys who sit there in the pits and rev their cars watching their tires balloon.

So what exactly are you looking to gain by your post? Are you stating that you're done with Tekin or will you be staying aboard and getting back at that KO driver????

Word round the camp fire has it, that sensored works well for higher winds, like 13.5 up, and dual mode for the lower winds.

Gear for lap times - period.

If you run ANY drag brake, your temps will be higher than someone who doesn't. If you use brakes, your temps will be higher than someone who doesn't. If you don't use drag brake, or brakes from the Tx, your temps will always be lower than someone who does. So, you can run the same ratio and get very different temps depending on driving style.

If you race in Florida, you will likely get much higher temps than if you race in Vermont. Ambient is critical.

Through all of this, there is a sweet spot that will get the clock down to that A Final time, and it has nothing to do with temperature. I am not sure who started this thing about temps, but it is mostly a red herring, except where there are high track ambient temps.

The speedo looks after itself (shuts down) and your thumb looks after the motor - if you can't hold your thumb on the motor after a race for more than one second, it is too hot and losing performance. This is how we geared BR motors, and it still works with BL.

There are three things that will get your BL into the A Final - gearing, gearing, gearing. HTH

Yip guys keep the faith, the RS is still the better option out there. A little more patience and when v200 breaks cover the RS will be the only choice.
