Randy,

So if I understand correctly in sensored only mode the total timing is fixed at mechanical + speedo and in hybrid mode it is seedo only?

Yes except they do use the sensors on startup. From what I've seen, you're sensorless for the entire run except the start or when you crash when running hybrid mode.

I know Randy is helping me on this, but just to see if anyone has experienced a similar situation as me.

I am getting a 'internet connection not found' message when clicking 'update' on the Hotwire software? My internet works fine, not sure why I am still getting this despite uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times.

Ok guys, after much deliberation I've finally taken the plunge and ordered an RS pro and hotwire, after after reading as much of this thread as I could be bothered with (its getting quite long now!)
I run 10.5 Novak and Hacker motors so will need a good base setup for carpet TC to get me started, can anyone help please?
I've never had a tekin product before but knew of the reputation in the old days for producing quality products and it seams like the customer service seems great from what I've read on here. Here's hoping I can do it justice when racing!

Donny Lia takes the highly contested 1/12 scale 17.5 handout class win at the IIC race in Vegas!

These were non adjustable handout Speed Passion motors. Donny used an Rs esc and Hotwire to get the win! Proving that when you need all the power you can get to your motor, Tekin has you covered!

Way to go Donny!

If you're looking for a good base line. Try running the RS in sensored only and run your motor timing a tick back of maximum.

If you end up with too much punch and not enough bottom end. Try running in dual mode, timing on the esc set at 80-90.

Default got my RS

I got my RS a few days ago. My Hotwire should be in on Wednesday. Anyone run one with 17.5/lipo on oval?

As a side note, I needed to put the throttle into reverse rather than normal to get it to program with my 3PK. Once I did that programming was fine (maybe the instruction book needs to be updated).

Any comparisons between a Tekin Motor and Novak 17.5? Has anyone used a Novak Sentry with the Tekin speedcontroller?
