It depends on the track and what you want for a feeling.
A higher End RPM makes the acceleration smoother.
You can gear a bit heavier and you can ad more Boost.
With a lower End RPM your car will accelerate faster.
I play with it till I have a good feeling.

i want to give a big shout-out to m-technic for helping me out this saturday with my rs setup. my first run with the rs came in at over 200 degrees and after he made some adjustments it temped at under 130!!! i ended the night with an fdr of 4.7 but it still kept temping at 130 and i went up 3 teeth higher than before so i know my 416x could have been faster
thanks tj

Mikky32 i will also try your suggestion. I will keep note of temps and report back.. maybe this may help other newbies like me.

thanks !
Just an update that might help other newbies..

here was my setup during the final qualifying. 6 min

FDR : SRPM : ERPM : TIMING : TURBO : DELAY : RAMP : Final Temp
6.551470588 2000 10000 50 5 0.3 3 130

i find that the car was more on the smooth side and did flat out almost 1/8 before the end of the straight.. it was not too bad. it made me calmer infield puch was average but controllable

Final Setting i only put the timing to max and turbo to 8 ( i know its a weird number lol) end temparature was 140 - 145

i found that the car slingshots all the way at the end and i was smiling at the straight infield was a tad more aggressive.

have a great day ! and hope this helps...

kp-61 i'll get the setup on here as soon as i can i still have to unpack my stuff, i worked non-stop all week to make up hours at work for saturdays race so im kinda taking a break right now but i will post it.
by the way my motor was a redline 17.5 and my gearing was 92/40 and i used the 200 software for the class i ran, the 203 would've been illegal. the redline motor was very fast with the 203 software though!

i saw it mentioned before by Randy to run a minimum of delay at 0.2
how do you find it at 0 ?
i ran 0.4 but i can see advantages at 0.2 as the speed down the striaght, once you back off due to slower car (most cars) the process starts again. Cheers.

Randy mentioned previously that due to the low start rpm you can get away with the 0 delay. I tried it and had absolutely no problems with heat or overtiming and this was with a Novak motor on standard timing.

Car was still very punchy but was also very smooth in its power delivery, not to mention that it also had a lot of top end speed. As I mentioned prior I was able to hang with 4.5 mod cars with this set up

I tried delay=0 with a 11.5R motor. The speed is very fast, it can hang around with 5.5R's. However, I do find the motor temp. to be higher than usual (around 70C to 75C).

With a delay<>0 with 11.5R, the temp is around 50ish C.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
Anyone?
