Mmm thats funny cause iv been running a DUO 1 17.5 for nearly a yr now and its been very consistant, only now is it starting to fade once it gets hotter. Not saying your wrong or anything but Maybe you got some bad motors, they seem to be popular here in AUS.

At our track 10.5 is one of the most popular and contested classes and even though running a 13.5 motor, the V203 software more than made up for the smaller motor.

I was able to consistently turn race times that were around 9 seconds or faster over 5 minutes than the quickest 10.5 runners.

Plenty of brakes, plenty of rip and low temps, can’t express how happy I have been with this speedy since day one.

James you are a machine Great work!

How were the brakes from high speed stops? Do they just 'drag brake' a bit or do they stop it on it's nose?
How were they set?

Brakes were excellent, I had them set at 90 in the speedy and had no problems pulling up the speed or locking them at the end of the straight which you can see in the pick is quite large.

I even several times outbraked some of the mod guys and ducked underneath them to take a place, so no problems with brakes at all.

Mikky32 i will also try your suggestion. I will keep note of temps and report back.. maybe this may help other newbies like me.

thanks !
Start with 20 Smoke his setup. I'm not running 17,5T my self. I run 13,5 and 10,5T.
So what I now about the 17,5 is not that much as he nows.

12,5mm is standard. ROAR and EFRA is 12,3 till 12,5mm.
the bigger the diameter, the more torque you will have.
Larger tracks you want a 12,3 and smaller tracks up to 13mm.

Only pull the throttle on the track. It's saver for your motor, car and tires.
You have now a monster in your hands.

got a set up for the 13.5 tekin redline

Drag brake off
Reverse off
Brake strength 100
Neutral width 10
Throttle profile 5
Voltage cut off off
Push control 0
Timing boost max
Turbo boost 5

End revs 24,000
Start revs 9213
Turbo ramp 2.0
Turbo delay 0.0

gearing of 6.94

this is a very smooth power curve and the straight line speed is as fast as the other guys and as fast as my other set ups
