this is where i get confused about the start RPM and End RPM.. please correct me... does it mean that the timing change say 40 will start from start and push all the way to end RPM then the boost kicks in after reaching the top rpm?

let me take notes on the settings
timing boost starts being applied at the start rpm and ends at your end rpm
if you have 2xxx start and 10k end we will call 2xxx a even 2k so there is 8k rpm range with timing boost + motor=50(total) is 6.25 deg every 1k rpm
to much timing to fast with turbo will create heat, you have seen the end result

Thanks for the clarification

Just wondering.... with out boost... should i gear it in a way that it flats out say 3/4ths of the straight? then add boost of 5 - 10 to make sure i have the correct end RPM?

gear so that it rips out of the corner and is fast down the straight but with a 90ft straight you shouldn't need turbo.play with it motor timing a little less timing boost on my 13.5 it likes motor timing and less timing boost

Any suggestions good or bad?

Sounds like a plan .. i should have asked for help earlier .. hope its not too late... now i understand why starting turbo at 5.

With trying 6 - 6.5 - 7 fdr temps in theory should go down if i dont make any changes on the esc ?

Mikky32 i will also try your suggestion. I will keep note of temps and report back.. maybe this may help other newbies like me.

thanks !

Default blown rotor

i was bench testing my tekin rs pro with the new v203 software today with my tc on the car stand, just punching the throttle, then letting off checking the turbo kicking in,and pow!!my redline 13.5 sezed,i quickly pulled the motor apart to see the rotor's magnet had shattered in a hundred pieces,i cleaned out all the rotor parts pulled the rotor out of my 17.5,instaled it and tested again,no problems? anyone know why this happened? the motor is about a year old has been over heated a couple of times when i first got it trying to get it geared right, but has been running good.also what size rotor is stock in a 13.5 redline, is it the same as the 17.5 rotor i repaced it with?a little help guys i'm racing sunday, thanks!

Hi guys, just a few questions. What are the differences between the DUO1 and DUO2 motors when used with the Tekin and the new 203 software. Which do people find has more RPM and which more Torque? Do they have to be geared differently for use on the same track? or Some settings run a bit softer/ harder between the two motors?

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Default duo motors

Save your money ,biggest load of C@@P ive ever had. Bought a 17.5 and 10.5 duo 2 for the Snowbirds. The 10.5 lasted 3 races and seized up and the 17.5 is a dog. Only good for a fishing weight. Finished up using my old redline 10.5.

I ran today the Schreff 13.5 set up from the snowbirds in our modified class using a Novak 13.5 Ballistic motor, just did a few minor tweaks for a larger track.

The car was nothing short of sensational with great punch out of corners that was smoothly delivered and great rip down the straight.

At our track 10.5 is one of the most popular and contested classes and even though running a 13.5 motor, the V203 software more than made up for the smaller motor.

I was able to consistently turn race times that were around 9 seconds or faster over 5 minutes than the quickest 10.5 runners.

Plenty of brakes, plenty of rip and low temps, can’t express how happy I have been with this speedy since day one.
