I'd start by stretching out your start and stop rpm, instead of 8000 end, I would try around 25000. You're bringing in a lot of timing, in a small rpm window.

Here is my settings from yesterday:

Track is about 30m x 20m, with straight of about 25m long
T2008: Gear 84/21, FDR = 7.6
Motor: Team Powers 11.5R, fixed endbell
Esc:
Drag:20
Brake:100
Profile:3
Boost: 50
Turbo: 5
Delay: 0
Ramp: 2
Start:5,xxx
End:20,000

The car is super fast, can keep up with my friend's T2009 with 5.5 + tc spec. The acceleration can be a little better. However, the motor temp after my run is about 70C, which worries me a little. My friend's 5.5 is only 35C at most. Outside temp last night was only 15C.

I only tried several runs with this setting, since the motor temp is quite high. I could have changed the turbo delay to come in later and change the start/end rpm as this should lower the temp. But I didnt bring my hotwire, so I could not make that adjustment.

I later switched to dual mode and ran 7.5R, this has similar speed to the sensored mode + 11.5. However the 7.5R temp was only 30C.

70 degrees is not too hot for a stock motor

my motor was 90 degrees after an 8 minuite run

only run for 6 mins with stock motors otherwise they get hotter and hotter till they die ( trust me i know)

The Novak cap should work fine. So should the LRP.

I wouldn't chance it, your choice, but I'm pretty sure Tekin would not stand behind it if you encounter problems

Try this.
Gear 7,9FDR
Turbo 10
Turbo delay 0.
Turbo ramp 3
Boost 45
Throttle profile 5

The motor temp will be a bit higher but don't worry.
It can handle more.
Whit this setup your temp will be higher but as it worries you, set the Turbo ramp lower.
80C is not a problem.

Sounds like me with my KO radio before I set the THROTTLE REVERSE to ON.

Thats questionable, I have always ran a Z1 JR with a Spectrum system, I do remember setting it up and having to change it to servo reverse.

Default breaks??

hi guys,
having a little troubles with my RS esc. i am running a 13.5T x11 gearing is roughly 1:7. its a medium long track. which has a long straigt and at the end of course a strong breaking point.

esc settings are roughly:
rpm: 5000-18000
timing: 50
turbo: 10
ramp: 2
fdr: 1:7
break strenght: 100%
no heat troubles.

anyhow, i re-calibrated the esc and the transmitter lots of times. also tryed the epa settings set to 90 and then calibrating again. in any case the brakes are not there. i hit full breaks and only after roughly 2 sec. the full breaks lock in. until then the car only breaks very very slowly. however, i tried setting my dragbrakes up. so gave the esc approx. 70% drag brake. drage brakes operates normal and well. so the thing is, i have more drage brake power than full power braking.

can anyone help me out here? i read about re-calibrating but tried that 12 times now with several different settings. any other issue i might be missing??

cheers
guys

what would theoretically happen if you ran with out a cap? Because I ran a full race day with no cap. It was 17.5 1s, but still. I'm guessing over heat? Mine didn't show more than 1 led like normal.
