Does anyone know if the UBI machine can run Hotwire software? It is a Linux machine.

Here it is:

i don't believe it will at this point...unless that machine has an XP emulator, be it a virtual machine or not...

No it won't. You have to have a machine that runs Windows XP, Vista or 7.

I suppose you could try the Wine Windows emulator on Linux (I have no idea if it would work) but by the time you have it sorted you might as well have bought a Windows netbook.

Hi Guys,

Right a question for all the Tekin boffins! I did my first meeting with my Tekin RS last night, very impressed its very very fast.
The only thing im not completely happy with is the amount of brakes, ive noticed that using turbo OR higher amounts of boost seems to give me a slight delay between being flat out and then braking. I know its a bad habbit but its something ive always done using Nosram/LRP speedos....Anyone have any ideas on what i could try or will i just have to use the radio?
Im using a Speedpassion V3 10.5, 100% brakes on the Tekin.

Thanks in advance!

Default To gear up (heavier) or to add more timing

Hi. Have been running the latest incarnation for quite a while now but mainly on a small track. Tried to run on a larger track (abt 50 to 60 m straight) today and decided to add a bit more boost and more turbo (ramp 1). Thing is the car doesn't seem much faster than before.

Would like to know if I should add even more turbo or I should gear heavier.

Also if it is possible I might be over timing.

Motor is an SP V1.0 11.5T
Start rpm is about 3000
End rpm is 19000.
FDR 6.9.
Boost 48
Turbo 10
Delay 0.6
Temps are between 60 to 70ish Celcius.

Thanks in advance.

Both.

Gear heavier first, add turbo later. Check temperatures at all times.

Make sure the setup has taken to the ESC. Sometimes it doesn't so you have to check by exiting and reopening Hotwire. If the setup is correct, then the problem may be elsewhere.

I also found that a good quality radio makes a lot of diference when I changed from a Spektrum DX3 to a KO.
