If it's in a place outside the speedo, you can cut and splice out there. It's a lot safer and all you need is a little bit of shrink tube.
I see. Yeah. i saw the screws some 15 mins after I posted this. Felt really stupid. Haha. Anyway I managed to cut off the damaged part and solder the remaining back on. Still works. I think.

Default dual mode

Nobody discusses dual mode any more. It all seems to be about turbo. Has the newer versions rendered dual mode irrelevant? If not when would one run dual mode? I have asked before will not much response but will dual mode run cooler? I have a 1.5 hr enduro coming up(2x cars) and wonder if my current setup with turbo etc is still my best option. I could just increase turbo delay to reduce motor temps. would like other options though

Dual mode is mostly used by guys running mod motors.
Stock class guys are using the sensored mode for turbo.

chrislow, you are right for a enduro race, is possible to make a more efficient system with dual mode, and more different ratio, all is about what motor you run, for motors to 10.5 from up, you feeling less power, and speed, but i thing for 1.5 hr race the speed is not more important.

Greetings, Luis C.

I drove a 1,5 race with a 10,5 lipo and used sensord mode.
No head problems but I thank that's because I geared it lighter and lowered my boost a bit.

I drove today indoor again and because the layout was changed I changed my setup on my Tekin RS Pro.
The top speed on the track was lower so I lowered my Boost with 10 to 8.
Turbo delay from 0,6 to 0,3 and used the same FDR of 7,3.
Motor 10,5 LRP X11.

I used this weekend for the first time Push Control and I started with 10 but ended up with 20.
It works great. 10 was better but when I used 20 it was great.
I won 0,1 sec in the lap time with the Push Control on.
It's not much but every 0,1sec. count.
Last race there was in lap time between the nr 2 till the nr 5 only 0,1 sec so it counts.

I had great punch overall. Top speed the same as the SPX but I got a bit more infield speed. A bit more acceleration power and the speed corner out was great.

Hi,

I am about to buy a tekin rs pro. Any experience with tekin + teampowers 13.5T motor? Do they work together?

Thanks.

Allright, Tekin RS Pro ran great in my B44 under 2s lipo. Now, it's mounted in my 1/12 and under 1s , IM" getting the first 2 and last 2 led lights on. Steering servo works, but no throttle. So, figuring it wont' do anything because the VC has been set to 6v, I hook up both 1s lipos in series for a total of 8.2v, but the first 2 and last 2 led lights are still on. Steering works fine, but there are no beeps or response from the esc.

I"m not sure what software is in it.

Thanks for any info.

Recalibrate your RX. Big change of going to 1S lipos.

If you have Hotwire, Ck 1lipo.

And make sure you are using a voltage booster or receiver pack for the receiver.

Tried 2s, 1s with booster, still nothing. Steering servo works fine , so I dont think the RX needs to be recalibrated.

I can press the mode button upon startup, the led's blink and then nothing.

As for software, I don't know what it has, nor do I have Hotwire.

I would like to thank Tekin for the awesome power I had with the RS at the Australian National titles over the weekend, placing 4th in the A main.

I was chasing set up all weekend and ended up qualifying in 7th place. In the finals I lowered the turbo delay to .2 seconds and the car was a missile down the long back straight.

I ended up with two 3rd placings in the A main and it would have been 3 but I moved slightly on the line and deemed to have jumped it and was docked 1 lap.

Moving through the field from 7th in each run was done on the straight, even when 4-10 car lengths behind the car in front of me I could pass down the straight every time.

Awesome speedy when you get the sweet spot

Well, I'm closer to finding the problem. I turned everything on and unplugged the sensor wire, and presto, the esc and motor work. Though the motor seems really slow even at full throttle.

So I plug the sensore wire back in, still the motor seems slow. I shut it off, and try turning it back on with the sensor wire plugged in, and it wont turn on. The esc will only turn on when the sensor wire is unplugged.

I think I know what the problem is, but would like to hear from people more familiar with brushless systems.
