it's hard to say how long the straights are but play with the gearing a bit.
But the track looks very fast.

It seems like most asphalt guys use 48p, while most carpet guys use 64p (at least in the US).

Hi, I am looking for input on my RS setup from any 17.5 experts to see if I am in the ballpark for a v200 setup. I ran my car first time with v200 this weekend it was slower on the back straight, but more ‘snap’ in the infield sections than with 198.

Previous v198 Setup: TP=3, Boost=30, Motor=Tekin 17.5 at 0*, FDR 4.45, temp at end=~130 (I did quite well with this setup - took the win in my class)

New v200 Setup: TP=3, Boost=15, Turbo=Max, Delay=1sec, Motor=Tekin 17.5 at 0*, FDR 4.45, temp at end=~118

I have been following this forum, and have been reading people have actually gone shorter on gearing with v200 and reduced the boost, so I left the 4.45 and dropped to 15. I was getting smoked, so I lowered FDR to 4.33 and it was better. Temp went up to ~125.

Track: as a few tight infield sections, but more flowing, back straight is ~170’. (Picture Attached)

Given the track layout and length of straight, what are your thoughts? What would you change? Just add more boost? Would gearing up start killing torque?

did you try going 20 on the boost to help in the middle of the straight and drop the delay down to 0.5 to finish the straight.125 deg is nothing you still have some room to play

Just want to add that Hotwire v200 works perfectly on my netbook (HP 110 XP) running Windows 7 Pro x86. In case anyone was worried about compatibility with the new OS.
