What's the feedback on the R1 pro RS from non-sponsored guys, do you need the hot wire to run 17.5-13.5 rubber TC.

1. Runnin Futuba 3PK fast system/ lipo

I would make the investment...and did So far I have found that the timing changes really help you fine tune you motor. With some 17.5's/13.5's it can be tricky to find that right gear. The hotwire adds an extra dimension to your tuning.

Just my $.02

Also Tekin can and will update the software as time goes on. The Hotwire will allow you to upgrade your ESC when needed.

I've been running the rspro for 4 weeks now. I found that Hotwire really makes it easy to make quick changes that can dail your car in. With the rspro I've put 4 tenths on my hot lap 1 lap on pace in 13.5 sedan. In 17.5 12th scale with a little Hotwire tuning I put 5 seconds on 2 week standing tq pace which I set running lrp. Was full lap on pace but tapped couple times. Very pleased with tuning options with Rspro and the hotwire combo

It all depends on the motor and track conditions. If you are running 17.5, 13.5 or 10.5, I would say no. If you are running mod on carpet or outdoors in hot weather, I would say it would be a good idea. Even with mod it will most likely be ok without one unless you are running in 90 degree plus weather. I have run in without a fan with an LRP 4 turn up to around 80 degrees and a track temp of 130. When the track temp got to 130 it was real close to thermaling though.

Has Tekin a 10,5 with a bleu ring?
Just like the Novak and the LRP have to show it's a stock brushless motor.

Next week i'm going to order 2 Tekin RS pro's so i hope that they are in stock.

The RS ran like a champ today! I changed the timing with hotwire to the suggested timing for 13.5 motors, I was allready under geared a bit so I didn't touch the gearing. The car seemed to have both more punch and more top speed then it did in the previous race and came off the track at 163 degrees. Now only if the driver had been as good as the ESC
