Tower hasn't updated their prices since the rs was first released. Stormer has RSpro combos at 270 and RS combos around 230.

Congrats at the Freeze. I watched as much as I could but missed all of Saturdays runs.

I can tell you that set-up works very well on dirt when the track is tacky, but this past weekend, for the 17.5 dirt oval A main, the track dried out some, and I was left to pedal a car with waay too much low end.

Did you guys experience any of that at the freeze, and if you did, what did you counter it with? I was thinking of using the current limiter, but didn't have time to work it out.

If you've got too much bottom end try the current limiter just like you're thinking. That's going to soften the bottom end and keep the top.

There was so much traction by Saturday that the 13.5's pulled the wheels! There were 60 heats of cars running on it. By the mains cars were traction rolling!!

Is the current limiter indicating in %? Would using a less aggressive throttle profile do the trick as well?

Most LHS's seem to order from from Great Planes (Tower) and Horizon. Their pricing is based on theres so if they are wrong the LHS prices it wrong.

With max boost and zero motor timing my roll out is 2.23 on a foam tire dirt oval EDM, and its wicked fast.

The other set-up I liked was 15 boost and 12 motor timing and roll out on the same car was 2.55....

I can't tell from your post what your running, but rubber tires will need an even lower rollout than the 2.23 I run. Our required weight is 3lbs 4oz....

It would certainly helped, had I known I had to peddel it, but its not exactly the same. I was using the linear profile 3. I like that the most, but my previous run 40 minuits earlier the traction was not an issue, but for my main, it dried out some. At speed, the car was a little loose, from a dead stop it was really difficult. With the current limiter, I should be able to set it so that under any throttle profile, I can hammer the throttle and get away cleanly if I have it set low enough for the available traction.

In dirt oval, your usually not letting off much, so the bottom end is not really needed to win, we like rpm. Its great to have torque off the line, but when you get tangled up, and have to take off from a dead stop, you don't want to have to think about it to get back up to speed cleanly. Your usually trying to get back out into traffic without getting run over. I will just set it at 80%, and hopefully not have to worry about it again.

I have also changed my tire goop compound and stratedgy to make this a non-issue in the future.

When you guys mention full boost and motor timing at 0 with the 189 software, what should the timing be set to on teh timing markings ? Should it be what the manual says is 0 or should I fully retard the timing on the motor ?

Anyone ever mess with the timing on the tekin 9.5? I am running offroad. Motor temp is 99deg. Gearing at 86/22 thinking of going up to a 24.. Track size is kind of small 65X43..
