Is 212 still the only ROAR approved software?

Why? Is it faster than it's supposed to be? Does ROAR approval usually take this long or is it not anticipated to be approved?

I dont think it's any faster just smoother throttle feel. As far as i know it was resubmitted to roar just before nat's and that was only a few weeks ago.

I believe ROAR is in the process of re-testing all ESC's with a more sensitive scope and will reevaluate the approval status of all ESC's. Presumably this process will slow 223's blessing.

Why does the Tekin have a hesitation off of the line on starts? Is there some feature or setting I am missing?

Just got the hotwire for my rs-pro with a redline 2.5t motor. I'm new to all this esc programing, so any suggestions on how I should setup boost, timing etc... Just mainly running in an open lot.

Also what gearing should I run with the 2.5t on my tc6.1? I'm using an 87 spur with a 17 tooth pinion and my esc is hitting 175F. Is this safe or should I gear down more (what temperature should I be at)? Any help is much appreciated.

There should be no hesitation, sounds like you're missing something. Post your setup, the more info the better.

Running a 2.5T motor in a TC is not common. The RS Pro has an onboard temp monitor system that should be used over temping the esc itself. Watch the led's while the esc is on and in neutral, the more led's the hotter the esc is. 6 led's and lower is a good place to be.

Did you have any expo in your transmitter when you set up the throttle? that will do it if so.

What are your Throttle Profile and Neutral Width set to?

Are we talking Blinkie?

I know a 2.5t isn't ideal.., but it came with the rs-pro for $250, when they normally sell here for $300 so.... Anyways I'm getting 7 LEDs. Is there anyway I can setup the hotwire to run my esc cooler?

Wink

How many caps on the esc: any less than two will be a disaster. Also you will need a fan blowing on your solder posts , and at least one Rx capacitor with 65c lipo packs... What's your FDR???? Over 9.0FDR I guess... Is there a fan on the motor???? Waxing the bodyshell is also a must. Remember, you're at the limit here, and you might need to turn the dual level from 80% to 60% ... I can't wait to build my CRC GENX10 monster 2.5t RS pro , but I am planning to use four esc capacitors, two RX capacitors, 10AWG wires, ceramic Bearings, and Tp 5300 65c pack..... Personally I think 2wd is better with a 2.5t than 4wd, which I would limit to 3.5t motors with timing on the top end.....Good luck....
