Damn - was really hoping to run the new software at the DHI Cup. Oh well - the SP speedo has one more race to do then.

Default 5.0t

id like to try my hand at running an lrp 5.0 octawind here at MSI. would anyone have any settings advice for doing so? will this 5.0 be too much for the speedo?

I've never set up a mod esc. I've heard that
boost and turbo are typically avoided when running a mod motor and just turning lower throttle profile settings.

thanks in advance

John, yes the RSpro can run the 5.0. Boost and turbo aren't used in mod very often since the motor is already fast enough.

Start out with dual mode, timing advance at 80 and find your gearing. Default rpm schedule.

thanks for the reply randy. I'll give it a try and share the results.
the reason I asked whether or not running the 5.0 was ok in the rs pro was because I had heard that even though it can handle a low turn, it isn't recommended because the speedo can get very hot. never seen it personally so I thought I would ask.

Johnny for mod you will need to have a fan blowing across/into the solder posts and connect a second 330 uf tekin cap, this all helps to control the temp very nicely.

esc off when using a booster or rx pack for 1s racing=no LVC
esc on during 1s racing = LVC on

Does anyone have a good setup for 21.5 touring boosted

Got the motor tried the 17.5 setup by motor get hot as after 10-15 sec

Something is wrong either motor or setup

Sounds like something is binding bad or you may have a short.

Hope that new software is soon...I could have used a bit better low end feel and control on today's track as grip was on the low side.
