Does anyone run a 1s MuffDogg 13.5 w/no boost in a 12th scale? I know that the settings are limited, but any starting suggestions?

Try starting around 3.5" roll-out and 10deg or 2 ticks of positive motor timing. Check motor temp after 4 min. These are high torque lower rpm motors so your should be able to run a large roll-out. I would not go more than 10deg of timing on the motor.

Great update guys.

The new throttle, and brake settings really make the RS That much better.

One can truly customize the feel of everything now.

Well Done, and thanks again for the free updates
how can you say that? 'free' improvements are ruining this hobby! people should have to pay dearly for every improvement and even for stuff that isn't an improvement. get your priorities straight man! (sorry, couldn't help it)

Thanks brah....3.5"= 88.9mm. With my 41.25mm rear tires, 72t spur/50t pinion, I'm @ 89.9mm. I'm also at 10-degree endbell timing. So I'm right there. I will give that a go for tomorrow evening.
Thanks again.....but particular my settings are as follows:

*Drag brake- OFF
*Brake strength- 40
*Push control- OFF
*Brake minimum- 10
*Throttle profile- 5 I'm I okay here?
*Neutral width- 2
*Current limit- OFF
*Reverse speed- OFF
*Throttle minimum- 10 I'm I okay here?

Being that this is my first Tekin....bare with my learning curve

for WGT 13.5 noboost, a suggested starting point(from IIC) 8degree endbell timing with 85mm rollout(with murfdogg 1s)

so a little more timing and/or a little more rollout sounds like a reasonable starting point.

I will be running this in a 1/12th brotha so hopefully I'm safe . Not a whole lot of practice before we run. Basically, this is a spot where we have to hit the ground running when we show up. So I better have or be damn close to having my ISH together

That am needing alot more gear than what it should really be. I forget the setting but I believe I'm at a 5.3 fdr and running 60deg of timing at I tick past neutral on the ballistic ramp at 2 and boost is pretty high. C2 rpm's I beleive.

I will find my exact boost setting in the A.m.

I use min throttle at 10, which is enough for me. Really gives it that extra "punch" in the low-end. It had no effect in temp for me. With 208 my motor got 43C and with 212 and min throttle I am at 46C on the motor, but I have also added more timing after that, so I don't think the slightly increased temp is because of min throttle.

Bullsh*t!!! everything in the world has free updates..... If the firmware or software is updatable then its free. When they run out of software to update they make new hardware and you pay for that and start all over again.... Here is 20cents to buy a clue. ( sorry couldnt help it ha ha ha)

I would say that the price of the updates is worked into the price of modern day updatable products.

@avs: why do you say that free updates are ruining our hobby? Why should we pay for them?
