Thats what i was thinking of doin too. So i just mantain the boost timing at 35? cos the setting im using at the moment which cause alot of damage has an fdr of 10.2 was fast to reach the end of the straight of 80 feet but the power seems able to push more than 80 feet. Felt like the straight wasnt long enough for the power. Thanks will give your setting below a try but any advise on fdrs as well or i just stick to the one i am using?

I would probably turn the boost down too. What were your temps like? The one thing I am not sure on is the gearing.

If your straight is that short I would possibly even turn the turbo off and only focus on the boost. Start by turning the turbo off, boost at 20, and keep the rest of the settings the same. Work with that and add a little bit of boost until you are happy. Experiment with the gearing some. You might want to gear down to a 10.5-10.75.

The combo comes with wire for connecting to the motor. It's got enough for the battery, too, but doesn't have a battery connector. You'll have to get that separately... whatever type is appropriate for your battery.

I will try again

Hi all

Well, i have some issues with my Tekin/Novak Balistic 10.5 combo.

I have tried everything, FDR from 5.7 - 6.7 all combinations of timin etc etc
Should i go for RPM(high FDR or torque ( low FDR)
whatever i do, i CANT get it hotter than 50 degres C

Track 1 has a 36 meter straight, lots of turns.
Track 2 har a 45 meter straight, fast and flowing.

One thing that i can figure out, is, motor timing. On my Novak it is a N mark, this is 15* som when setup says 5, that is two mark to minus side???

Another thing, if end RPM is set to 14K instead of 20K will topspeed be the same?

Any suggestions for this two tracks?

And, is the Balistic wrong motor? should i go for an X12 instead. Seems like my buddies hwo run X12 has more RPM..

Lots of questions, but i em desperat to get a fast setup, other have Tekin and gets around a lot faster, even though we where equals before Tekin

Are you saying that you are not competetive with this set up or are just wanting to get the motor temp up?

My main concern is, the RPM range, and if Novak is a less RPM willling motor...

The 'N' mark is 30 degrees i know as i asked Steve weiss about it when i was having trouble with my Tekin and Novak combo. You can download the timing info here http://www.teamnovak.com/tech_info/i...tes/index.html

Temps was just nice at 61 deg c. Will keep what you advise in mind. Thanks and will update you after another run later.

He isn't competitive enough. I had over a second lower laptimes and 2 laps more in 5 minutes than he had at our last race.

Hehe Hurrle, you are here too

Well, LRP`s and one Tekin is on their way, testet a lot of thigs last night, and my Novak simply doesent rev to the RPMs i want. I get battery fade before heat takes the motor.
If its a failiure to the motor or what i dont know, i just now i will throw the Novaks as long as i can into the woods haha

I did it last week , just delete the hotwire progr from your computer then install the v203

When you plug the speedo in it tells you your running a differant version and it updates tge speedo back to v203
