Is this like your problem phil?

Default 208 software

Hi,

How is everyone finding the 208 software, i ran mine the other night using the same settings as v203 and it ran no cooler and seemed to have very aggressive acceleration, not smooth at all, r u supposed to run different settings or gearing with the new software?

not really , i just have nothing no power or top speed , it is untrue

I am lookingat buying the Speedpassion GT2.0 as this is really getting my going , i had no problems with 203 but just thought i would keep up and upload 208 and now my speedo is useless

i need to be competative as i am still in the running for a podium at my club championship but if a cannot manage the laps in the 17's then there is no point trying !!!

I wonder if some people having the strange problems got a screwed up hotwire install... Like maybe they've still got the older .esc file.

Seems you have the same problems as i have from the start (now already 2 years). Thought it was my lipo's at first. Strange thing is that in the indoor season i didn't have any problems (it was very cold inside) so i thought my new lipo's that i bought for the indoor season was the fix. Now that the outdoor season is underway it is back again.

Hairy, keep us posted when you get the rs back and if it is fixed afterwards.

There are 1000s of posts in here and 99% of them are bogus, not being mean about it. For how many posts there should be 99% setup sheets posted on here instead of posts like, " Thanks Tekin for such a great product" and such. Can everyone start posting setups for each and ever car/class please?

What speedo company offers more setups than Tekin ?
There are many setups HERE
Start from that and tune to your style and track.
203 and 208 are so close there should be very little difference, maybe you can go just a bit more aggressive with 208?

If you still can't quite get it from there. post your settings here and ask for fine tuning tips.

Does that sound unreasonable ?

I doubt it would be due to a bad download. More likely a bad install (like incorrectly following the steps to clear the virtual store), or some other freakish thing.

What OS are you running?

It broke an ECS axle on the table free reving tonight so i think i have enough power now

Testing tomorrow will prove it

I'm going to reflash the firmware on both speedos and go from there.
Fixed my broken wiring connected up to hotwire and found all the settings that i had put in with the dodgy connection had not been taken by the esc. Updated the settings and qualified for the A final I found the power much smoother making the car easier to drive and the motor came off 30 degrees cooler. I did find the brakes seemed slightly weaker than 203 though but i'll play with the settings a bit more and recalibrate to the transmitter.
