I ran Moberly's set up with a 4.5 and it worked flawlessly. I ran it on a large track and all i did differently was run a small fan at the back of my speedo to cool the solder posts down. After 5 min run the motor temp was 74 deg.

Oh and the car flew by the way, scary quick on the straight.

So this 208 firmware, or whatever it is that has the stock spec profile, will that same firmware be able to do the timing advance stuff, or will the ESC need to be flashed with a different version? If the firmware can support both, what will it take to move between spec mode and open mode? I'm trying to get a feel for what kind of process will be required to try and run a spec and non-spec 17.5 class at the same race.

the throttle profile are going away and being replace with what ever is needed to be used for the spec class,so i would say led 1 id for spec and another led # being the standard esc setting.get the idea

Jamie, pit by me at KRaceway this weekend, I need you to make my car fast despite the raging heat we will be battling.

Ran my Tekin 13.5 system and it was great at NorCal today! Is it ok to run the esc and motor at max turbo? If not where is a good place to have the turbo timing, and ramp?

NO, you should not run max turbo, max timing boost, etc.

There are a lot of good team driver setups to be found here:

Another question how do you adjust the RPM's on the hotwire?
