Default SMC 28C High Performance 4000mAh - 5000mAh Hardcase Lipos

Were releasing 2 new hardcase Lipos with a true 28C rate. We will offer a 4000mAh pack and a 5000mAh pack.

The 4000 pack will be thinner so it will fit in any car where a sub-c pack fits.

The 5000 pack will be thicker and will require some modifications to fit in some of the more popular sedan cars.

I will have actual sizes in a few days as the hardcase molds are still being worked on.

The packs come with 12 gauge silicone wire and Deans plug to handle high current applications.

For those attending the Snowbirds drop by the SMC pit area as we will have sample packs to show.

Will you be submitting these for ROAR approval? I like where the plugs exit the pack. That's a LOT of red!

Yes they will be submitted to ROAR.

For those who don't like the red casing I'm sorry but we had to pick a color. You can always paint it to your favorite color.

I've heard you guys are going to come out with a saddle pack lipo, any truth to that? Also do you think it would be possible to dremel away a bit of material away from the battery opening so that the wires can come out through the top of the pack? When will they be out?

Pricing and availability is still to be determined.

We may come out with saddle lipos but it will take some time.

No way to get the wires to come out on top as we have to use 12 gauge wire and the solder tabs on the cells are very big as these are 28C packs. So for offroad cars you will need to cutout part of the battery channel or get our current 22C 5000 pack which the wires come out o.k. for offroad cars.

I like the clear insulator where the wires exit the case. Good idea...
I have ran the Max Amps and have seen first hand the concern for protecting the wire at that very point. The insulator begins to crack and split right there.
If any one doesn't use the bullet connecting hard case this is the next thing to look at.

Bravo!

I don't think the way those wires exit these will fit most offroad 2wd buggies and trucks.
