I have seen it happen too frequently because there is not enough clearance between the wheel arch of the shell and the tyre. If you can get away with it, allow 3 to 5mm between the tyre edge and the shell, ideally... dont crash (ok ok we all do it!)

I saw a suggestion somewhere that said run your rear body post taller and put the clip in at the top of it. That way the wheel will lift the body and untuck itself. Ive never tried it myself but it seems like it might work.

If it seems to be an inherant problem, and since you're only club racing and not worried so much about weight, why don't you look into getting (or making) some sort of rear bumper?

could solve your problem

I don't know if this would work, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

After the body is painted of course, you could try lining the rear of the body and curves with something like an epoxy/fiberglass mesh that would make the rear of the body much more rigid.

I haven't tried this, so I have no idea if it would affect the paint or not. I know epoxy gets hot when it cures....

Alot of the X-Ray drivers run a couple body mounts straight back off the rear shock tower along the rear deck to the back of the body, almost like a pitch fork sticking back from the tower under the body. They work pretty good to keep you from tucking the wheel well.

Hey it just isn't the Xray drivers. Us Losi drivers use xray body post.

Also on the front of the car if your sidewalls are cracked and the body rubs the tires or tucks from the cracked body, use a body post on the center of the front shock tower.

My Xray already had the holes drilled for a body post, but if yours didn't you can drill two holes for a center post.

If you have a TC3, just screw in a 1/2" 4-40 grub screw or a 12mm 3mm grub screw in the spare hole on the diff case. Then screw a body post on the scew and trim it to just be under the body.

Just get a couple long body post. The stock Losi were to short so I used Xray mounts. And use one of the free holes in the rear tower, very simple really.

try this one, it's a very thick shell, weights 180g tough. 200mm they say I cheated because I pass by bumping them away. it feels like a tank
