servo saver?
 

hi not normally asking newb style questions but here it goes

what is a servo saver?
is advised to have one?
what is a really good one?
is is better to have an alloy horn with it?
i have just upgraded from a s3010 to a s9551 so i will get a raelly good one if it is recommended

A servo saver is a device that will save your servo gears from being stripped in the case of an accident. Some cars have them built into the steering linkages while others require them to be put in place of a servo horn. They're an excellent idea and highly recommended by just about everybody.

yes, its really important to use one, it has kind of like a metal ring that stretches, so if wheels turn more than the servo does, it doesnt strip it, instead it just goes, and springs back, like greasemonkey said. They are cheap too, like $4, get the one from kimbrough, for the futaba. the plastic arm they use is fine, but its advisable to get a graphite brace from BMI, if youre running 1/12, so its harder to break.
