You will need to search either for the actual TL-01 one-way or as someone else mentioned to look for a TA03 one-way (suppposedly, these are out of production, but they are out there if you search good). That's pretty much the only ways you will find out. Good luck!

In regards to countersteering a TL01, I think you're out of luck. Never heard of anyone countersteering a TL01 especially if there isn't any gears from another car that would fit and also alter the drivetrain ratios between front and back. You'll probably need to buy another chassis to countersteer.

Depending on which TT01 cv's you are looking at buying. If I recall correctly, the 42mm universals from the TA04 fit the TT01 and these will also fit the TL01 both regular and LA. Had the same set of TA04 universals on both my TT01 and TL01 when I had them.

Ebay is the best place. It long out of production so some parts will be hard to find
If its the original version (Not the LA) , then some M03 parts are the same: diff, steering knuckle, rear hubs, C upright(forgot its proper name) , diff outdrives.
Check the underneath of the chassis & where the suspension arms etc bolt on for cracks. But a new replacement chassis is really cheap & still available.
Some TA04 parts are the same as well, suspension arms?(LA), dogbones,CV's, depending out what TL version

Some pics of my TL-01 chop job - rebuild no.5

cut out a section of the chassis & glue it up. You need to cut down the driveshaft as well.

Re-enforce the top & bottom. I went for strong rather than pretty. A bit messy (Im impatient)
A better option is to plastic weld it with old parts trees & soldering iron , or put plastic through a hot glue gun. I'll try that next time, maybee.

Add baja (TL01b) arms. Helps it stop rolling. 9T Ezrun motor + speed gear set. Foams really help grip.
The red Yeah racing shocks are rubbish. get the cheaper YeahRacing Silver ones instead.
Batt holders are from M05. Helps to protect the ends of the lipo. They work MUCH better than standard TL batt holder ends.

Add mini body. Got out & thrash the thing. Time to replace that body perhaps??
This car will wheelstand with the 9T motor.

Default TL 01

Hello everyone,
I just want to say that I still have my tl01 after buying it new when it came out. Dont have the Mustang body but I have spare bodies. I took out the original electronics & had some newer ones laying around.
After reading & seeing what could be cut out, I have a project ahead of me. I cant believe how much can be cut out of it to reduce wieght.
Im thinking about getting the EZRun 13.5 brushless system for it but I am concerned if the plastic gears can handle that motor. I seen some people said that I would have to upgrade the gearing. I also seen people say that I have to get bearings for it.
I will check RCmart for some of the parts I will need. I cant wait to get started on this project. Not sure how long it will take me but I have lots of time.
Just wanted everyone to know that I still have this & I like driving it.

The plastic gears will easily cope with 13.5T. Ive been running 9T for 2+ years & a friend runs 5T
Definitely get a bearing set.

Does RCMart have the bearing set or can I get them at a local hobbyshop? Also do you know the size of the shocks? I want to put some threaded shocks on it as well. Not sure what size they are.

The TL01 is back...

Orion 7.4v Lipo, SpeedPassion 13.5T brushless motor, Bluebird servo, Airtronics MT-4 controller.

Reinforced the carbon shaft with additional bearings.

New front suspension arms, c-hubs and Ta04 steering knuckles.

More info about Project TL01 here.
