Here is my loaded TL it's actually the last of the oldies of mine. Great car, just have to decide on which body to run. I was thinking of HPI's Lotus 2000. Sorry for the big pics.

Looks good.

Unfortunately my TL01 is currently retired and replaced by the HB TCX which is 6% faster in the 13.5T non boost class. But might ressurect it for some Silvercan racing for my daughter.

6% where did you get that percentage. Yeah these cars are great with SC. I actually bought a sport tuned for it. I also have the speed gears and running a 23t pinion. This and a Rocket Pack will be plenty fast. I am thinking about using it for GT class this winter. We'll see how it goes up against the newer models.

Hi Guys,

This weekend I will be joining the biggest touring car race in my country using this...

Hope you like the paint job. Tried to make the typical Mazda Speed 6 blob look like a real car.

Nope its not the TCX but something even better.

The old reliable TL01 with 50c Lipo, 13.5T Speedpassion and HobbyWing Xtreme esc.

Will be racing the expert turbo class.

p.s. I've put the TCX back in the box.

Default Lipos

Hi there.
Any tips with lipos & TL's ??

My IP4000 stick lipos are slightly too long, also the lipo cables are pretty
exposed, unprotected. I may have to make something to protect the lipo wires.

Cheers

TL01/Mini chop job

ok going to ressurect this thread.

Thinking of picking one of these up for a on road runner.

Anything I should be aware of? Supplier for hop ups and anything else?

Been looking through the pages and these look like a lot of fun!

Great choice. It's really a fun car.

I would recommend the high speed gears and a full bearing kit. Rcmart carries stuff for the TL-01.

unless you know a bit about RC & just want a TL...
Make sure you get it really really really cheap, otherwise dont
I have 4 ... use them every weekend as a fun car (converted to mini's)

Just keep in mind, is an old , low tech car. So dont waste money on hop-ups except bearings & fast gear set. Try & get the LA version.

Completely obselete, fragile chassis:brittle hard plastic, Ive broken a few chassis , servo mounting is poor design etc etc ....
Honestly , if its your 1st car then get something a bit more modern.
TB03, TF5, TC4,TA05 are vastly better

I cant wait to start tinkering with it!
