Default Battery help

What up people? I am getting back into electric after a year and a half off. I need to know what the best batteries for stock racing are at the moment. I had 2400 HVs, and they performed well. I don't necessarily care all that much about one brand over the other, but I want a good performer. Oh, and also who has used the new turbo 35 GFX, as this will more than likely be my charger of choice. My IQ300 is acting up on me.

Your definate best choice for batteries is the GP3300. Trinity, Orion, SMC, etc, etc, all sell these. I personally recommend www.kinetixrc.com . Good Prices and Excellent service. I prefer them over the others because with Kinetix, your paying for your batteries, not some stupid name (hence why Trinity jacks up there prices near the $90 range for a "team"pack)

The turbo 35 is great, but you might look into the new GFX!

hi, i am using th GP3300... i had tried to compared with my fren's 3000 batt, our cars's spec are exactly the same... the diff is only the batt... what i found out is the 3300 seems hav more power (acceleration & top speed) than my fren's 3000 batt for the first 5-10 mins... after that, my 3300 batt like going to flat and his 3000 batt still performing good and hav quite a good speed (just slightly slower than first 5 mins)... is this correct??

I second the Kinetix RC packs. Great prices, and Ron is a great guy to work with.

GP3300s (2nd generation) should have a higher discharge curve from beggining to end.... period. Your motor is most likely overheating due to the high voltage applied to the motor for longer periods of time.

There is something wrong with your Gp3300s then. OR your not charging them right. OR the 2 cars are not geared the same

ARe they both un matched stick packs?

3300s first or second gen are better the all 3000s.

TYPICAL CELL output:
3000s
360second 1.155 and up

3300s
410seonds 1.174 and up

i suspect is my batt problem... our cars geared the same... everythings are the same except the cover and the batt... so sad... anywhere, its still can be use, just will flat very fast (full power only last for 5 mins), then the performance will drop very fast...

anywhere, thz a lot...

you guys may be using the same gear ratio, but since gp3300s have higher voltage, try dropping a tooth or two adn see if that helps, also check your motor temp after 5 minutes, if you cant touch it for more than 3 secs without getting burned, then your motor is too hot.

Maybe try putting your friends 3000 in your car and your 3300 in your friends car and run at the same time, different driving styles can effect your runtime.
