HOW SHOULD I HAVE THE DROOP/UPTRAVEL?
1. I dope the front tires to tune, hardly ever the full front. Dope from the inside of the tire out, leaving the un-doped part the outer edges.
2. Droop is a tuning aid to adjust for traction/rotation. Start somewhere safe with the droop flat. With Corally on a new track I would usually start somewhere like 1.5 - 2.0mm all around and tune from there. For less rotation, add more droop to the rear, for more, add less.
Droop is adjusting how far the car will chassis roll and the inside tires stay in contact with the ground. When these tires lose contact, the car will slide on that end of the car. If the front starts to slide, it's called push. When the rear starts to slide, its called spinning out... If it's controlled, some call it rotating.
