You can look good or be fast. I chose to look good apparently

Seriously Im afraid the blue in my TC5 will reject the Cyclone purple and it could be disasterous.

Lame as it sounds, the purple makes me cringe, too. Will the Novak heat sinks fit? The ones that are a snug fit on the stator? A lot of people sure are making these motors sound like they're faster than anything else on the market. It's hard to deny Josh's logic about HACKER having a leg up on the others due to their brushless motor knowledge. I sure hope they start including some of the modern conveniences found on other motors. And no purple. :-)

You sound like a glass half empty type of guy.......

Think of it half full.........the blue might embrace it and you could go faster.

Does the hacker 17.5 come with a blue heatsink or did you replace it?

We have been gearing most of the Hacker motors 1-2 teeth larger pinion for they have less RPM.

For the 10.5T I believe I ran somewhere in the range of 4.5-5.0 FDR on carpet with 57mm tires.

I will look into different color rings for the motors. See if this is possible.

I believe the diamter is similar but the length is different. On the Hacker motors the front plate and rear plate butt up against the stator to help with cooling. The Ring is not there for support like some manufactures have done.

I have never compared the Hacker 10.5 back to back with the orion so I am not sure. We ran that gear ratio on the Roar Nats track. 4.5fdr is on the high side but it will depend on the track.
