1st, you have to know that FLT is Torque, RZ is RPM so threat them differently for the gearing.
2nd, Have you cut the comm on your RZ ? the smaller the dia. of the comm, the faster the motor. For me, the optimum size is about between 71-72mm.
3rd, Some racer suggest that new motor should be lathe 1st then break-in untill the brush sits properly to comm (full contact)... I never measure the break in process in minutes .....
