JR 4750!! i think that is the best servo out for the money, and they have great customer service, i sent one in that the motor burnt up in, and they sent me a brand new one for free! thats why i will always use JR servos

JR Z4750 are awesome. They are in all of my cars, nitro and electric. I have one friend though that swears by Aitronics 94357s and 94358s. A little bit more money but exceptional servos as well.
The new JR Digital Servos are quite awesome as well.

I've had good luck with Airtronics 94357 & 94737 (?), I think those numbers are right. But I have been the happiest with my Futabas, S9402/9450/9451/9550. All of these have been excellent. I hear the JR & KO digitals are good too. I don't think you'd go wrong with anything from anyone of these manufacturers.

The fastest one I've found so far, is the KO Propo PDS-2123; 0,06 sec/60 deg., 9,5 kg torque, digital, coreless, metal gear and double bearings.
The only one I've that is faster, is the discontinued KO PS-2015, which is 0,05 sec / 60 deg. But it's analog and with plastic gears.
If we're talking best servo for a given budget, it's another story.
I will say, buy the best you can afford.
Please note, that several ESC's only deliver 5 volt through the BEC. That means a 6 volt servo, will be 25% slower. If you got such a ESC, I suggest you consider getting a servo with 7,2 volt FET wire, alternatively upgrade the ESC.

On the other hand, my Hitec (5)625 servos have been in numorous times and only get repaired. The warranty is just about up so it's the circular file next time. (I did get a new servo lead)
I'll probably replace the Hitec's with JR 4780's.

KO PDS2143 gets my vote. I have them in all of my cars.

Is there anything I can do? eg replace the +ve wire on the ESC connection to the servo with the FET wire? My HRS receiver can run on 6 or 7.2 volts...

How do you hook the 9451 to hi volts? or dont you need to? just run it of the 5v BEC?

I dont think you want to throw in 4 1,5 volt cells?
If you put the red wire on the servo to the mainbatt 7,2 volt, it'll turn your sweet servo into smoke... maybe not at first, but for sure after a while....
Now, I dont know your reciever, if it has a nice BEC with 6 volt output, there might be a work around. Tell me if your RX do have a built in BEC and what the voltage is. Preferable with some good amps specs too. If so, I can explain the workaround for you.
