hi guys ive been racing my hpi pro 4 for about 2 years now and feel its time to move on to a new sedan. im really liking the hot bodies cyclone moorespeed. but ive also been consider maybe a tc5 or a rdx phi or a x-ray t2 008 and maybe a mi3 but dont know so i wanted to get your guys input. i really like my pro 4 and its a good car but there seems to be newer cars out there that can be setup much easier and could be much faster than my pro 4. im more of and intermidiate to advance driver and wanted to see what u guys think of these cars

Honestly the cars you have mentioned are all damn good cars, capable of winning in the right hands. I choose a kit by downloading the assembly manuals and making a decision based on which designs I like best.

Check with your local hobby store to see what they carry parts for, and also check to see what cars they are running. You should always be looking for sources of parts for the "emergencies" that always spring up. That is why I run xray cars. I can normally get parts for the hobby store, or one of the other racers. I don't think there is a race I have not been able to finish because of a lack of parts.

To answer your question though, they are all good cars. I would look into the support you can get for them to make your decision.

Here is how I'd base that decision
1. The car you can get parts for at your LHS, there is nothing worse than waiting for Mr. UPS on Friday afternoon not knowing whether you are racing this weekend or not.
2 What are most of the fast guys at your track running, there is nothing more valuable than free set-up help from the fast guys

Quite a bit of your Pro 4 cars suspension will transfer straight over to the Cyclones so that a big point for you to think about. With that being said all the cars are good that you mentioned. You can find great deals on Mi2's or T2 007's if you will settle for 1 generation old cars. The TC5 is a great car especially when you look at the prices on replacement parts. Team magic E4 has a great new car and also the Losi's. Just pick what you like the most and what your hobby shop supports.

everytone runs a diffrent car at my track. there is a scyth an xray 08 an mi3 tc4 ft acouple of tc5 and a couple of pro4s yea stock sedan really isnt that huge but be have enough people for a fun day. but most of the guys i race with are sponserd so and if the hobby shops dont have the parts they order it for me and gets there in 3 day.

I would stick to the cyclone it has the same geometry and all the parts will be compatable from the pro4

I went from a pro4 to a Cyclone a loooong while back.

Basically, it was a matter of all the spares I had lying around in the toolbox.

FYI - I found the Pro4 to be ultimately more rewarding to drive when I was feeling "on it". It's a snappy fast car. I like my cars reasonably twitchy because I'm fairly smooth on throttle. I always ran a one-way too.

The Cyclone was immediately more planted. It was more of a point and shoot car. The belts make it much more planted on straights and for some reason the cyclone carried more corner speed. My initial complaint was that the car felt like it wound up to speed. You'll get over it soon enough but it's plenty fast. The motor balance is the main thing. It's overall more consistent and easier to drive.

i would go with the hotbodies cyclone all the way i have one and it is awesome i race it every weekend it is a awesome racer pick the cyclone

The Pro 4 also shares suspension components with the TOP Scythe. I believe you said a fellow racer runs the car so you would also be able to compare set ups.
