johnA, it is the tires, when pete tried them he found they didn't sit on the rim very well either.

I've hit soem preety solid walls at a high rate of speed before in an indoor carpet track, no cracks or anything. They didn't even bend. these rims rock!

Dave - Have you run the Hot Bodies rims as of yet? How do they hold up compared to the Yokomos?

now thats just not fair, trying to get an advantage whilst driving by distracting other drivers with those things next you'll be painting swirly patterns on them to hypnotise drivers too

Cool, I'd rather have a rim that flexes less, but I'll still try the Hot Bodies rims...

Default The Best Rims

Tamiya makes the Best RIMS!!!

they are the reinforced rims by Tamiya,
I've been using them since I started the Hobby, just a bit expensive but it will pay for it self because you can use it several times!!!! the only draw back is its color black and the dull finish because of the carbon, graphite and nylon components!!! I've took, BIG hits, direct, indirect, cartwheels and so on, you could not wreck these wheels!!!! they are not brittle, does not bend, break and wont loose balance and will stay true

Again they are the TAMIYA Refinforced Rims
ITEM 53335 (OP335) 5 Spoke
ITEM 53336 (OP336) Mesh

Second are the ones from Yoke, the rims that are specified for the MR4-GT!! they are sturdy and would outlastthe tries, but also loose its balance it hit very hard (not unlike the Tamiya Renforced)
