Are TC5s crap?

It is not crap, just people are looking for something newer probably. It did not do well at Snowbirds, but has done well at other events.

Could it be that more people have TC5s than other touring cars and therefore you will see more people selling their cars compared to other TCs.

espresso1967 - This car is sold as a kit. Motor, electronic speed controller and all other items including tires and a body must be purchased separately. Depending on your personal selections, speeds will vary quite a bit. I'd say anywhere from 40-65mph is easily attainable based on chosen motor/esc/battery.

You live in Ontario, yes? Ontario is part of North America, other than the Losi JRXS-R, there are no other competitive touring cars that I can think of that come from American companies. (I am well aware that they're produced overseas, thanks)
The TC5 is Associated, which is an American company. As a result, the car is cheaper to buy, cheaper to repair, cheaper to run, much more widely available around here. More TC5's = more TC5's for sale.
No, they are not crap.
Hebert beat Xray's, a Losi, Josh Cyrul's T.O.P., atleast one RDX PHI in Oakville today.
I dare you to go compare the prices of 008 parts and TC5 parts.
Don't be afraid to buy a TC5.
