It is not crap, just people are looking for something newer probably. It did not do well at Snowbirds, but has done well at other events.

I guess my point is, I have been hovering around the for sale forums heavy for the past 2-3 weeks now.

I see 3x as many Tc-5s going up for sale than all other TC cars combined.. that says something to me.

i just seen this in the tc5 thread

"Keven Hebert(AE TC5) won the open foam and 19t foam classes at the Jaco/SMC Canadian Challenge at FastCats this afternoon. Beat out Josh Cyrul, Barry Baker, to name a few."

Could it be that more people have TC5s than other touring cars and therefore you will see more people selling their cars compared to other TCs.

I was thinking along the same lines as naggalowmo. Whatever there is the most of is what you'll see being sold most often.

espresso1967 - This car is sold as a kit. Motor, electronic speed controller and all other items including tires and a body must be purchased separately. Depending on your personal selections, speeds will vary quite a bit. I'd say anywhere from 40-65mph is easily attainable based on chosen motor/esc/battery.

You live in Ontario, yes? Ontario is part of North America, other than the Losi JRXS-R, there are no other competitive touring cars that I can think of that come from American companies. (I am well aware that they're produced overseas, thanks)

The TC5 is Associated, which is an American company. As a result, the car is cheaper to buy, cheaper to repair, cheaper to run, much more widely available around here. More TC5's = more TC5's for sale.

No, they are not crap.

Hebert beat Xray's, a Losi, Josh Cyrul's T.O.P., atleast one RDX PHI in Oakville today.

I dare you to go compare the prices of 008 parts and TC5 parts.

Don't be afraid to buy a TC5.

A podium and two TC5's in the A Main of mod at the birds. I don't call that not doing so well.

I love em, they are great. Selling a couple of mine because I only run electric during the winter, no sense in keeping three cars shelved all year. I'll keep one and see what happens next winter.

I run X-Rays but I race against the TC5's. They are fast and stable. The only problem that I see with them is the front arms seem to break easy. I would not be afraid to buy one.
